He mentioned this in his blog recently."
Kathy- I'm not sure why but that link goes to a travel book about Oregon. I looked the story up on Amazon though, it looks interesting.

Oregon travel guide for the win!"
if only we could come up with a way to tie it to the theme...too bad none Hill's books/stories take place in Oregon. None that I remember anyway.

Wait, I can't say that out loud, can I? *scratches it out*. There. Fixed.

Keep the Hill favorites coming....

True Grit by Charles Portis
Ready Player One by Ernest Cline
The Thousand Autumns of Jacob de Zoet by David Mitchell
What else?

Nostalgia? Well, I live in the 60s [and love it]
It's the author's debut - I like debuts [da butts too, FWIW]
Robots vs wizards? [what would LeGuin have to say about that?] My money is on the Mages.
Other universes? This is sounding better all the time.
AND - 'my' Library owns copies.
Me thinks my vote is for . . . the Oregon book, lol

To do that, I'm opening up a round of nominations. The theme for this round of nominations is for books that Joe Hill has recommended, or said that he enjoyed, etc.
These can be from anywhere - his blog, Twitter, books he rated highly on Goodreads, whatever floats your boat.
So to get the ball rolling, I'm going to nominate Joe's self-proclaimed favorite novel (found in his Jan 18th blog post), True Grit by Charles Portis.
So... Nominations are welcome... Please don't leave me hangin' here alone...
...please?
