I used it once, and half of it was utter crap. I think it improved my typing speed a bit though... afterwards I typed a bit slower, but not that much and I was not writing nonsense that broke the fourth wall *counts then gives up* I have no idea how many times.
That one time I used that, it REALLY helped though. Because it got me through a certain part and into an entirely different part, while using up 48 minutes and producing 2450 words. But not long after that I had to go to bed. I'm glad that I cut off in the middle of that one scene though, because if I had kept on writing that night, constance would have done somthing that I did not want to let her do. By stopping in the middle of that scene that night, I was able to give myself time to come up with an alternate solution.
And now I'm rambling, and nobody has a clue what I am talking about. Let's just say, it was helpful that one time, but I produced a whole bunch of crap. It's good for getting you through a stuck part though. :D Because then you HAVE to write it.

lol. that does sound funny.
And I agree with you on the XD thing. It looks like a dead person is smiling. And XP just looks like a dead person.

I couldn't use it. It made me stressed and made my brain freeze and panic and I ended up typing nonsense scribble to stop it from killing me, which is just a waste of time. Plus, I need to see my whole novel when I type, on OpenOffice/MS word, otherwise I can't write.
Yeah, write or die just bugs me. The red would start to confuse me, and keep me distracted. Then the sounds/deleting of words would make me want to kill my computer, because that distracted me too. All in all, I think that the electric shock mode would be best if it was really real . . . XD
