What is holding your interest this 1st full week of March? Did March come in like a lion or a lamb in your neck of the woods?:)

It came in with a bit of a chill that's for sure!

I'm reading The Hidden Child by Camilla Läckberg and I'm already about half way through. After that I'm not sure what to read next...

WINDY WINDY WINDY

With any luck I'll finish up Lucy Sullivan Is Getting Married and will start on Ender's Game.

It's been a mild March so far here in Baltimore. I'm still reading The Night Circus. I like it but am not loving it.

Caroline... I had mixed feelings about Night Circus as well. I wanted to love it. It wanted me to love it but ultimately I did not. After finishing, "It" (see my rant under my review lol) I did decide some Perrotta was in order so am reading his latest and also "Columbine" which I had for a long time but wasn't in the mood to read till now. I guess I should not really use phrase "in the mood" more I couldn't handle the subject matter till now.

March has been mostly meek and mild here in central PA. I want to finish The Yiddish Policemen's Union today, then start The Night Strangers.

Here in No CA we've been having sunny days, but lots of wind. Since that was preceeded by some wet days, the pollen is flying about like crazy! Snuffle! I just finished The Garden Intrigue, which I enjoyed. Next is Trail of the Spellmans which I am looking forward to.

I really loved Dave Cullen's Columbine. It's a sad subject, but he does such a great investigative job with the book. It is really fascinating. I have fanned him here on Goodreads and on Facebook too.

You verbalized exactly how I feel about The Night Circus. I want to love it, but I'm just not. I can't even pinpoint what it is about it exactly. I will say that I'm at the halfway point in the book, and it's only now that the author has FINALLY introduced the love story. Personally, I feel it's important to introduce a main love story early on. A love story almost always hooks me right away. Also, the whole story line with Bailey I'm finding pretty boring.

I'm halfway through Sarah's Key. I can't say I really like it since the subject matter is really upsetting, but I think this book is definitely a page turner.

Caroline. Let me know what you end up thinking about Night Circus. The descriptions I will say we're gorgeous. I could feel and taste and see and smell the circus. I guess I just wanted to feel the characters too. I felt the same way about Discovery of Witches although I will most likely read book two. And yes am loving Dave Cullens style. I will have to find him on Facebook also. Although I devote most of my literary stalking time to Justin Cronin who is very funny and shares a passion for Downton Abbey. Lol!

Oh, I love Justin Cronin too! I will have to fan him. With Dave Cullen, he has a Columbine page and then his personal page. Fan the Columbine page.

My husband read A Discovery of Witches recently and really liked it. It is on my to-read. I hope I can appreciate it fully despite not liking wine! :D

Vicky, I have avoided King's horror books too. The only ones I've read by him are Hearts in Atlantis and The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon. Both are non-horror, but ...Tom Gordon can be a little spooky/creepy at times. Both are good; I couldn't put them down. Oh, and I also read his book about writing, On Writing and really loved that. It's half memoir/autobiography and half writing advice. It is really interesting.

One of the best novels I have read this year so far!

Just finished Sarah's Key. It was an amazing book. Now I'm reading The Funny Thing Is... because I need something not as heavy to read.

Loved Sarah's Key!

I've now moved on to Smoke and Mirrors by Neil Gaiman after a quick stop off with Mirrorstone, which I admit wasn't too bad.

Reading "the language of flowers" easy reading, more like young adult book, but engrossed in the use of flowers to convey feelings. Don't know where the story is going but loving it up to 45%.

i am reading "bent road" by Lori Roy and the lost memory of skin by russell banks

Now reading Like Water for Chocolate. Highly recommend The Language of Flowers, the book I just finished.
