Riley (rixosink) I'm spreading word about the faults of Invisible Children. But other than that, instead of buying into the simple awareness will change everything, I'm writing a letter directly to people who matter-- our government.

Isabella | 8 comments I've created a club on MugglenetInteractive and am getting all my friends to join it!

This is my signature...eerrmm the first two sentances are links to other clubs of mine...the text is a link on there to my club.

Scrapbook Memories (Club)~ I Hate You - So Now I Love You ("Think That Is Mixed Up Wait Till You Meet Me")♥ (Club)
Joseph Kony has impoverished a whole region of Uganda under oppression and intimidation, emotionally scarring little children.
He comes in the night to steal their children, taking whole boarding schools at a time!
His army has abolished and dismembered innocent citizens to keep them close to their fear!
He turns little children into slaves and soldiers for his Christian Army (“Lords Resistance Army”).
Stop this and join NOW >(!

Riley (rixosink) Look, what I advise people to do, that if you really care and want to do something, write the government. That's what's going to make a difference in the end. And I'm not saying if you don't write the government you don't really care; it's just that it's going to be the most effective.

gяαffιтι *яαωя яαωя* qυєєи (myhandinyours) I have a sharpie and on my arm it says
Stop Kony
And
Kony2012

message 8: by Tatum (new)

Tatum Yeah...like it's the government that really matters and that's the whole point is getting ppl to ban together and convince the government and ppl that it's important.

message 9: by Isabella (new)

Isabella | 8 comments It's just i've tried that before with the government - my mum once went to a parliament members house once, basically: NO INTEREST. Sometimes you really have to do things yourself, i'm not saying don't try - because we should...it's just you will only get an email answer message, always the same (that they will get back to you)

message 12: by Kaye (new)

Kaye (carrymeaway) | 77 comments Here is the break down... being one person doesnt do anything... thats why we want you to help spread the word because a body of people can change everything.... especially in america... our gov. has to do what they are told since it's "we the people" not "We the Government"... fighting, it causes people to get hurt, it can ruin others lives, shatter it. but only the bad people's lives... the innocent will remain unharmed. This... this isnt about religion, it isnt about IC, it isnt even about Kony... its about us, as a generation, showing everyone else that WE CARE...We care about the children, whom have no voice in what is happening to them, we care if they arent being educated, if they arent being fed, if they dont have parents... that we are stepping out of our own little worlds and standing up to a much bigger one... that we might be young, but that we should not be ignored... That we believe in a better life for our generation and the next... if we can stand up to this, then what will stop us in the future? nothing. If our generation bands together, then it is possible to accomplish things... not necissarily world peace, but we can make a difference... look beyond the doubts, look beyond all the impossibilities...you are a part of a nation of young people who are banding together to make sure others less fortunate can be free... It isnt about me, nor you, this is about us and those children... the future and the life our children can live... we are blazing a path for change... we are burning a star of hope for the future... being just one person in a sea of people makes you strong... don't worry about the rest, support, spread the word, and do something about the way our world is... monsters like Kony dont need to be around and it's up to us to make sure those children end up safe and sound...
