The Ask and the Answer
question
What do you think of Davy?
I almost cried when he died. To be killed by your own father, and to figure out that he never loved you. Throughout the book i began to infer that there was somthing bad about his relationship with his father, but i never expected him to kill him. I hated him in TKONLG because he was an ass, but i built a soft spot for him in TA&TA. He really did become a good person in the end.
i felt so sorry for him he. all he was trying to do was make his dad proud nd make him like him he was constantly trying to prove hiself to be like todd! and then to be shot by your own father! at first i thought he was just as sick and twisted as his father but really he was the total opposit
I still can't get over the Mayor shooting him. WTH? My heart ached. This poor boy... he didn't know what was happening. His dad shot him and as he was dying all he could say was sorry. He was sorry mainly because he thought he killed Ben, but in my head he was also sorry for not being the son that his father wanted. ♥ in a thousand pieces.
At first, for the most part of book one, he was a prick, but I kind of liked him at the end. My favorite characters always end up dying.

Davy Prentiss was actually my favourite character in the whole series(more so in the Ask and the Answer). He was trying to get his father to be proud of him and, essentially, just his father's love. We really get to see his character grow and develop. I liked him a lot more than Todd, especially during the Ask. And the scenes leading up to his death was heartbreaking. The way he kept saying Todd again and again just broke me. I was crying when he died. Seriously. He was the best. I don't even have the motivation to read the last book.
He was my favorite character.. I liked him more then Viola to be honest O.O... I was SO MAD when the Mayor killed him, I wish he just SOMEHOW is brought back in Monsters Of Men..
its like don't judge before u knew someone better, jus a lonely boy who wants his father's attention,it was sad wht his sorry excuse for a father did to him :(
and to think he was really taking this brotherhood issue with Todd seriously although he WAS the one taking the "Mayor's" attention :(
