I was just wondering if any of you are reading any good mysteries? I am reading Defending Jacob. I like it but don't love it. Let me know what you are reading now.

Julie | 83 comments I only got into the first chapter of Everliving, before One for the Money came in, but I do like it so far. I am not sure how available it is, because I won it from GR. I can't wait to get back to it.

Jami Collier just finished The Thirteenth Tale....I'm not usually a fan of gothic novels and would not have read it except my book club is, but surprisingly I really enjoyed it

Melissa (ladybug) I just finished Knots and Crosses. It was ok, but not my favorite. I am now reading The Crossing Places

Now that is an interesting title!!!!
I never thought of a glue gun as being deadly

Melissa (ladybug) I finished The Crossing Places and was really disappointed. I didn't like it at all. I didn't really do any reviews for either book, but a few sentences.

Don't you hate that when you keep reading a book hoping that it will get better and it never does??!!!
I haven't loved any of the books that I read this month....little disappointing because I actually love reading mysteries.
Hopefully, I will read something next that will really loving it! I am having a hard time getting into Restless in the Grave!

Melissa (ladybug) I do really hate that! I love certain mysteries, but I thought that I would like the books I read, but was so disappointed in both of them. :(

Julie | 83 comments I just finished Everliving. Everliving by Christina Dudley And I must say I loved it. check out the review I wrote for it.

At first I wasn't sure what I had gotten myself into, considering I usually don't read ghost stories. However this one was thoroughly enjoyable. I expected it to be scary, but was pleased to find out that it wasn't. It is certainly one of the best mysteries I have read in a long time. I love that the story was based around Redwoods. (I love trees, very much like the characters in the book.) In my opinion this was more of a love story than a ghost story. The main character Ben has always been in love with trees, especially Redwoods, and this love for trees has given him the ability to communicate with a beautiful ghost, Daphne. The special bond that they share with the trees sparks their romance. I love how the author is able to juggle the romance between Ben and Daphne, as well as the mystery of Daphne's death way back in 1895. This is truly an incredible read, and I would reccommend it to anyone who enjoys a great mystery and romance combo. Just make sure you carve out a nice block of time to read it, because you will not want to put it down!
