Why did Luce's parents opt out of baptizing Luce?

I think they just weren't religious.

I think that when her parents reincarnated, they came back different and just weren't religious.

Were her parents reincarnated? I thought they were different in each life..

her parents WERE NOT reincarnated....everytime it was different people..just Luce reicarnated

lol I just finished reading this. I'm glad people are discussing the book. Considering she is from a Biblical era, I'm surprised it hasn't happened sooner. In comparison, being baptised as a baby or child is less common these days.

That's true. People are losing their value of religion nowadays.

Yes, Megan you're right. She won't burst into flames at 16 but there's a catch. If she ends up dying, she won't come back.

And Sharlene, I don't know. I think, for some reason they either don't want to or can't baptize Luce now.

No, it's because every time she's baptized she dies, it's the whole religious "when you die you'll be reincarnated" thing. Megan is right, her religious upbringing, or in Luce's case, her lack-of, is what's changed and kept her from bursting into flames after kissing Daniel. And Huda makes a good point too, which is why Daniel is very protective of her.

Huda thats a Redicolous thing to say even so for a so called Christian. My children are 8, 5, and 2. They are without sin. Its not that its a uncommon thing or a loss of value. God made a child without sin. They are the purest things and studies show that a child doesnt come to full terms of growth till he is 21 and she is 18. Why would I choose something for them when it is their task to do things and learn for themselves. Would be like me to pray for someone else to be saved by Jesus Christ himself when I am not that person. A being can only act or be good and know when it is their time. My wife is 34 years of age and the youngest to ever have a widowmaker heart attack but she isnt saved because she feels shes not living in true God fearing ways. Im not to say when she is to be saved or not. So long story short why save something that doesnt need to be. I mean even in the Old Testament God saved the children of Isreal only to be dissapointed in their indulging acts when they found new Gods over and over to only let the saviors down that he continuously sent. Before one makes a statement like you did. Most of us Christians would appreciate you doing some research... Perhaps the bible. Jesus Christ himself was baptized by John the baptist as an adult so when does it actually say the age of being baptized is? Pretty sure not one word of age in the bible as to when someo e should be baptized. Its when your truthfully, faithfully, and believe...thats when you are ready. When you can understand that God sent his only Son to us to die on the Cross for our Sins.
