I and my two freelance editors work with writers from all over the English speaking world.
Examples of edited books are : A Face To Die For
by Jan Warburton; which is aimed mainly at the UK market and follows the Oxford Dictionary of English for spellings
Another excellent book published this week is The Second Advent: Disciples
by Lex Stephenson; which is aimed for both US and UK markets but follows US spellings in The New Oxford American Dictionary.
On the website you will see other happy authors comments with their book titles.
Our prices are very reasonable, see the web for further information.
A free sample edit is given to reassure potential clients of the quality of our service.

If you're a UK author, also check out The Novel Prize, which I've founded - you can win publishing services worth up to £6,000 for your novel.
Happy writing,
Charlie
How to Succeed as a Freelancer in Publishing: The Complete Guide

We are both published novelists, with 10 years Editorial experience between us working for the top two U.K Consultancies. Our aim is to provide a personal but professional service at very reasonable costs. We also have great agent contacts.
Do visit our website at www.roughdiamondconsultancy.co.uk

I've done fiction, nonfiction, and children's and young adult books.
I look at typos, correct word usage, punctuation (it's all over the place these days so I go for clarity, natural pauses, whether it's just plain correct, and whether or not the writer prefers/uses the serial comma), grammar, paragraphing, readability, dialogue, flow, sentence structure, etc.
I do fact-checking, unless very technical material or overwhelming number of facts.
I'll send a list of books I've worked on, all self-published (to my knowledge) if requested.
Go to http://www.sharonkgarner.com for first chapters of my published works, etc., and to contact me.
I'll do a ten-page sample for free.

Rates: $.0065/word OR $20.00/hour, whichever works out to be less for you. It's a policy which offers me a fair hourly rate proportionate to the intensity of the edit, and also encourages good authors to return.

I am looking for a proof reader. I don't want someone who will tell me what my characters would say or how they would say it. I know things about my characters that are not in my books. I need someone who will not charge me a fortune.

Hello Peggy. You've probably found someone by now, but if you're still looking then I proofread at pretty low prices. My email is crystal _ serpent @hotmail.com (remove spaces). Let me know how many pages you need doing and I'll give you a quote.

You can email me at sylvia-winters@hotmail.co.uk or just send me a message here if it's an enquiry. I'll get back to you very quickly.
Pricing depends on what sort of edit you need, but I don't charge much per page, and my fees are available for discussion.
You can find more details on services and rates here at my Wordpress blog.

When you're not only over it, but your writing buddy won't answer your emails and your group wants to talk about THEIR books for a change.
When you're actually ready to hear that you've still got some work to do. Editors are fun people, actually, only it's NO fun at all when somebody hires you for an expert opinion and they just don't want to hear it. We're not cold, cruel or critiquing your manuscript for sport. But nobody ever writes the perfect book, either. Darned tough to have to pay for a pro's opinion, but we're here to make your book better, nothing else.
Editors might be fun, but editing is hard work. It takes time and energy and care. So don't expect to hire an editor Tuesday morning if you want to publish on Kindle by Friday.
Finally while self-editing is great, working on your own manuscript is a lot like taking out your own appendix. Editing is like word surgery; it's a different skill than writing and like that appendix problem, it really pays to hire a pro.
Need one? I'm here: editorial.village.green@gmail.com

Boy, did THAT need to be said.

It's as low as $1 minimum donation per day to advertise

I'm an editorial assistant in NYC and am always looking for new books to acquire. If you have a proposal or an MS you'd like me to read, feel free to message me and I'll set you up with my work contact.
I also do proofreading and copyediting on the side, so if you'd like some feedback (and you're willing to pay a small sum!), I'd love to help you out. Just say the word.
Nice to meet all of you!
Nicole

Thank you.

Or take your chances and maybe have to pay to get the job done over again, when the person you hired didn't do it right???? Don't hear the news from customer reviews...Don't pay twice for one job if you can pay once for the best.

Heat is an online novel. It is mainly about a senior federal judge's attraction to women with amputees. The plot explores disability rights through the eyes of a lawyer born into a wealthy family and with a disability and other characters. As the novel is written it is posted on the blog, you can help develop the plot by posting your ideas on the blog.
On Aug 11, 2012 I decided to put the first part of my novel on a blog to get feedback as I create it. Now I have 2895 readers. I wait for more views before I get advertisers.
I got feedback on the online novel as to the sexual depiction. The novel contains more violent depictions than sexual. However, the main goal of the novel is to expose disability discrimination so I decided to only refer in general to sex. We want people to learn about disability rights without being offended. Our goal is to educate about disability rights in an interesting way and not to offend.
Two months ago I discovered "devotees" - people that are sexually attracted to people with disabilities. I decided to write a short story about devotees. Then I decided to broaden the story to include disability rights. I have published 3 books on lulu.com but they did not create revenue. So I decided to create a novel blog to attract viewers and advertisers.
The primary readers are mystery lovers, people with disabilities and their families, lawyers, legal professionals, and devotees.
The beauty of this novel is it is a "living document" so I post a part as I write it. Then I change it based on viewer feedback. For example, sex and disability description was offensive to many viewers so I "watered" down the sex stuff.
The title "Heat" is from the "Heat of Passion" element of voluntary manslaughter in criminal law. Under my birth name I was a lawyer for 20 years until I represented an alleged prostitute with disabilities. She lied to the bar about me. I decided to stipulate to a nolo contender of disbarment for health reasons. I hated being a lawyer. So the disbarment frees me up to do what I love - write and produce videos with my team.
My team and I conduct extensive research to write the novel. However, all the characters and love scenes are based on real people and events.
Wow, we learned much from Novel Blogging. We discovered we had to make each post stand on its own and short. Also, we must repeatedly put the first part of the novel on all the social networks each day and email disability groups world wide each day. To broaden the viewers we reduced the sex stuff. We must write and market at the same time.
We want our readers to give us feedback and follow the novel.

Meditation on Space-Time

Meditation on Space-Time"
Hi there, I'm an editor and I'd be happy to take this on. Here are my details: http://sylviawinters.wordpress.com/ed...

I'm a writer and editor with my own business since 2002, through which I help aspiring authors navigate the entire process of completing a manuscript to publishing (traditional or POD, usually self-publishing). I've done everything from ghostwriting and complete rewrites to proofreading with light revision for final polish. Here's my website with more about services, clients, and so on: www.z-ink.net.
I hope everyone has a super week!

I have recently begun editing fiction and my rates can be quite reasonable. Check out my blog at
scottswrittenwords.blogspot.com
and my website at
www.writtenword.ca
Email me if you'd like a little more information. And advice is usually free.

There are so many great seeming editors here, how do I choose?
I would just have to let all you editors know, that my book s available totally FREE, here on Goodreads and if you want to download this, The Shortest Chapter Book you will ever read, and make offers to me based on what you read, I will go with the 1st and the lowest priced editor, or the one who seems to feel my story-line and believe they could help me advance this story the most.
Might I mention that this book series has 9 more books to be released, so if you offer and do a good job, I would be more than willing to consider you for work on the next 9 books coming up in the series.
Here is the Facebook page for the book series.
www.facebook.com/10000LakesTales
and here is the book link on Goodreads.
Thank you very much for your interests, I Love You all and wish you all good luck with your business and writing!
Foster Fox: A 10,000 Lakes Tale

I have written four fiction books (two published: Two Moon Princess and Immortal Love) and four nonfiction published by Chelsea House.
I have edited books for fellow writers for over ten years and they all agree my strengths are plot and character development.

I'm in the market for an editor for my self published novella/novelettes. They are sci-fi/fantasy, and I've been publishing about one a month (I have a day job. I do not have a life)
I need somebody willing to catch my sentence fragments, point out my comma splices and call me on my bullsh*t, (IE Wind Resistance Does Not Work This Way) The work would be as clean as I can possibly get it on my own. They would be relatively short, about 25-30K per book, but there would be one of them a month. I'd be especially interested in a long term relationship with an editor.
I'd also like some form of flexible payment plan regarding rates.
Please either PM me or contact me at christwriter AT hotmail DOT com.
