I have been curious about how many of the "maybe" with no note people will attend.
I hope everybody has fun. I'm sure that's the case!!! Wish I could attend.

Lisa, I wish more than anything, you could come too! We will definitely have fun.

I'm at the 90% sure mark. I'm still negotiating with my husband. I think he's worried it will be a bunch of ladies he doesn't know, and he'll be odd man out. Will your husband be there, Lee?

What might that be, Simran???? :P He doesn't mind chatting with ladies about books and stuff, but it is hard to jump into a group with no background beyond the stories I've told him about all of you. It's sort of like my going with him on a business meeting. He doesn't have quite the natural gift of gab that I do.
I'll let him know he won't be the token male, Lee. That will help.

hahaha! That would be okay! He'd be happier shopping for electronics, and talking football. He does read books and watch period dramas with me! :)
I'll have to check his vacation schedule. We'll probably arrive earlier, and drive to the Falls on Sunday. If I come alone, I might stay longer. We'll see....
I'd like to see that, too, Iain! Are you still on for ComfyCon?

I encourage any of you who are considering attending to register as soon as possible. This will allow me to continue with advance planning for fun activities and look for potential restaurants suitable for the group size.
We will enjoy a fun but relaxed weekend where you will meet and hang out with some of your favorite Comfy buddies. All of the group activities will be optional. If you just want to come and explore the cosmopolitan city of Toronto at your own pace with a buddy that's totally cool! I am putting together a few options for walking tours with a food focus, and a historical/architectural focus. I am also preparing a list of local independent and notable bookstores if you want to explore those.
Toronto has a myriad of excellent restaurants with every type of cuisine imaginable. There are several live theater productions playing year round, tons of great museums, an incredible art gallery, shopping and other attractions. Toronto has a diverse and multi-cultural population with many interesting neighborhoods to explore. I would love to welcome any and all of you, including those members who participate more quietly.
The hotel I have chosen is lovely, in a safe and beautiful part of the city within walking distance to the subway, shopping, restaurants, and the Royal Ontario Museum. If you have any questions please feel free to message me any time.
My intent for creating and hosting this event is to continue developing the wonderful friendships we have begun here in our Comfort Reads community.

I look forward to seeing you in person in October!
