The World's Literature in Europe discussion

Since some members expressed interest in this work, it's being given a space for comments for whomever is reading it this year. Written in the first decade of the twentieth century, I am a Cat is one of the first popular writings by Natsume Sōseki, who serialized these episodes, set during the Meiji period and narrated by an unnamed cat. Characters: Mr Sneaze, Waverhouse, Avalon Coldmoon, Opula Goldfield. Like the author's subsequent comic novel "Botchan", the theme of "I Am a Cat" is also what takes place in a school and how characters behave.
