I figured it was time to update my goal for 2009.

Like before, these are all books I own, but haven't gotten around to reading yet. In no particular order...

1) Little Earthquakes - Jennifer Weiner
2) The Pillars of the Earth - Ken Follett
3) The Eye of the World - Robert Jordan
4) Assassin's Apprentice - Robin Hobb
5) The Other Boleyn Girl - Philipa Gregory
6) And Then He Kissed Her - Laura Lee Guhrke
7) Monday's Child - Louise Bagshawe
8) The Stepford Wives - Ira Levin
9) Sabriel - Garth Nix
10) Farthing - Jo Walton
11) By The Time You Read This - Lola Jaye
12) Goodnight, Beautiful - Dorothy Koomson

Comments are very welcome :)

Kris (tinytulip333) | 3 comments I am very inspired by this goal making thing for tbr- reading challenge. I, too, have quite a few books that I own that need to be placed on this list. I think I will start with my 2 unread Gabaldon books. heehee That's my main goal for the first 3 months of 2009. But I still have to get through Dragonfly, Voyager & Drums one more time. Plus, I joined a Chiklit and Chocolates group so that may add to my reading adventures.
Thanks for the add, btw.

Heather (pinkprincessmommy) | 26 comments I really enjoyed Little Earthquakes by Jennifer Weiner. Hope you do too!

Rachel Brand (pixieauthoress) I really liked The Other Boleyn Girl. I know that Gregory's books always take some historical liberties but that just makes them much more exciting to read - and you still learn about history!

I have The Stepford Wives and Goodnight, Beautiful on my ever-increasing Want To Read list - they both look really interesting.

I've read "My Best Friend's Girl" by Dorothy Koomson and absolutely loved it, so I have high hopes for "Goodnight, Beautiful".

Finished Farthing by Jo Walton. Very different from what I'd anticipated, but interesting!

Finished The Other Boleyn Girl by Philippa Gregory and am still digesting it. What a book...

Finished The Stepford Wives. A bit disappointed about the non-ending, but otherwise a really good book!

I was unfortunately rather disappointed by By the Time You Read This. I'd expected something poignant like PS, I Love You but it didn't even come close. It was okay reading for a lazy afternoon, but nothing more.

Finished Goodnight, Beautiful. Not as good as My Best Friend's Girl, but enjoyable enough.

Finished And Then He Kissed Her and wasn't too impressed by it, unfortunately. It was a lot more superficial than I'd expected it to be.
