1. What happened with Isabel and Cole
2. How did the wolves adapt to the peninsula
3. Do they find a cure
4. Does Grace go to college
5. Does Oliva's family ever know the truth
6. Does sam take the job at the crooked shelf
7. Do Sam and Grace ever get married
and I really feel like there could have been a whole other book to the series. Overall I really enjoyed this book there was plenty of suspense and twists and It was not alj about Sam and Grace. One thing I really like about these series is how Mrs. Stiefvater has everybody's point of view so you know how everybody is feeling. I recommend this series to everyone its not your typical werewolf story.

It wasn't really surprising that the author chose not to give a definite ending or answers judging by the other books. They didn't go anywhere either. And the characters all sounded identical. I kept getting confused as to who was talking:D

She would sell sooooo much more books if she wrote a spin-off series, from Isabella and Cole's point of view...although i didn't like the series, i still think i might give the spin-off series a try if she made it
-Did anyone notice how often the Name Isabelle Comes up in YA Fantasy?
Isabella Swan-Twilight Saga
Isabelle Culpeper-Wolves of Mercy Falls series
Isabelle Lightwood-The Mortal Instruments series
I Just thought it was interesting....

but sam isnt cured just like Grace wasn't.

I COMPLETELY AGREE

I think it was a clever ending.

I loved the series! :)

i agree

What Maggie did was tell us a small part of their lives. We know as much about their future as they do.
The Wolves of Mercy Falls is about what it means to be human, and part of being human is never knowing the ending.
And that pretty much blows.

But that's the beauty of it. The possibility. If Maggie had ended all of the storylines I would have been very disappointed. She saved Cole! Grace and Sam are together. What else could you want? I was half expecting her to just have a massive bloodbath, but she didn't.
Plus, now there is possibility for revisiting the series :P

Did Grace survive the cure?
How are the wolves doing on the peninsula?
How is Cole and his cure research coming along? (It was a huge deal in Linger that Sam's cure wasn't a cure, but then all of a sudden in Forever, it was just accepted and ignored.)
How is Sam after getting the cure?
Do Isabel and Cole end up together?
Heck, do Sam and Grace get to end up together without Grace dying?
Stiefvater seriously could've written another book. That actually ended the series.
It was still good. Just not as satisfying as I had hoped. I like closure.

It is true what you say about how being human you never know the end of your life. I know that is probably why the author left the end so open. Nevertheless, I just loved the series sooo much that is kind of frustrating not knowing!! The ending is great for someone who loves come up with their own end of a story and has an imagination for it. Unfortunately, I'm not like that lol. It would it have been nice to know a little bit more about what happened to them...
I wish that Maggie would have given a real answer to whether or not Grace gets cured. I loved this entire series and was pretty mad at first with the ending but got over it. and you can just assumed that Cole's a screw up and killed Grace. Or if you have faith in Cole as a scientist, then Grace lives, gets her red coffee pot and there for her and Sam live happily ever after. It's all the readers perspective in the end to figure out if she lives or not...Which frankly I think knowing her survival isnt something that should be up to the reader, she should have put something else in the ending for it.

I personally was pretty upset about being left hanging over what happened with Cole and Isabel. Then I started thinking about it and I realized that Cole has a lot of stuff he still needs to sort out and so does Isabel. Maybe in a few years...but yeah, it didn't have to end that uncertainly.
I was also pretty upset over not knowing whether the cure would cure Grace or kill her...but statistically speaking, Cole hasn't murdered anyone with his medicines yet, so I think we can trust him there. : )

i loved the series but I wanted a better ending!

i loved the series more than any other books, but i agree with you on what i would like to have been clarified in the ending.

i agree I hate being left hanging by a book.
i wanted grace to get preggers with little wolf pups!!!!

1) WHAT HAPPENED WITH IZZY AND COLE
2) DOES THE CURE WORK FOR GRACE
3) DOES GRACE AND SAM GET MARRIED
4) DOES IZZY MOVE TO CALIFORNIA
5) DOES IZZY AND COLE GET MARRIED
NONE OF THESE QUESTIONS WERE ANSWERED BUT I STILL LOVED THE BOOK!

Some people loves this kind of endings, but I don't, because for me it's always better to read something before imagine it.

I agree. I read them because of the hype and found them to be "ok." I also liked that ink matched.
