Do you want, like generic like James and Paul? Or unusual, like Tarnio?

k-how about Darius? or Paul?
But I KNOW there is something like that in Inkheart!
Not dustfinger though... that's who I keep thinking of, but I know it isn't him.

THANK YOU!!!! That has been driving me crazy for days!!!! I KNEW that he was somewhere in inkheart!
Nope, darius is the stuttering reader! Wikipedia says so!
Orpheus is also a reader, the one who read dustfinger back into Inkheart. He was the one who took over meggie's aunt's house and messed up the library while keeping meggie's aunt locked up.

YEAH I SWEAR HE WAS IN INKHEART!!! AND HE WAS!!!!
sorry, really off topic aren't we . . .

Hmm...
Alex, Jason, Garrett, John, James, Kevin, Eric, Mike, Kyle, Dylan, Bill, Darius, Ethan, Kenny....
there are a jillion more. I'm too tired right now to list them.
You could go to a babynames website, then find names that you like. Maybe, ten.
Then look at their meanings. If the meaning bothers you, get rid of it.
Then look at the nicknames along with the real name. If that bothers you then get rid of it.
Then think of how each name sounds. does it feel like it could fit your character's personality?
I just spent about a half hour looking at names and finally decided on one. Now I just need to figure out who he is and what sort of story he's in. :P

Yeah, but it's a really good name: Kurt. It means courteous (which went out the window with isolation and crazinesss) but it's just... perfect. It already seems to fit him, and I've only had it for less than a day. I don't think I've ever found such a perfect name before.
perhaps it's because I had the name before I had the story... hmm...
I'm going to be posting it on goodreads soon. :D
I don't know how chapters are going to turn out exactly, the first one might be a prologue, but I think Imight title the chapters for once.

congrats on finding a good name, but i was actually talking to Saved By Grace.
And so was I. Unless she was talking to you and not me or both of us... then I'd feel like a bit of a fool.
ug, Sparx is harder to write than I thought. I HATE WRITERS BLOCK!!!
