CheeseAssasin (makefetch) | 78 comments I'm really enjoying this one. It's like Bourne Identity meets X-Files with a female protagonist. I'm not quite half way through and an African American female supporting character has been introduced. So far I've only had to eye roll once time over her over use of the word "Honey." At least it wasn't "honey chiiiiiile, please!"

WillowBe (booklurver) | 21 comments I only have one book for now: I had to admit that I am a book addict and powerless over my addiction. My house needs serious help, and it won't get it with my nose stuck in a book. So, I gave my husband my reader to keep until i have it under control.

However... I have 3 boxes of paperbacks I've read over the last 3 years, so I've dipped into those when I seriously need a fix! Just finished Mountain's Call

The Mountain's Call (White Magic, #1) by Caitlin Brennan . It's not IR, but the protagonist group are olive-skinned with black curly hair, while the antags are "tall, fair with copper or golden hair and skin like milk". Unfortunatlely, their like Vikings, so they're kind of despicable. But their Prince seduced ME over the course of the book with his perception and tenderness. Book1 is much better than Book 2 in the trilogy Song of Unmaking (White Magic, #2) by Caitlin Brennan . Not much lovin' in this one. But I suspect Book 3 will be pretty good, though I'll make myself at least finish sorting the bedroom before I search for it!

PS- if horses are not your thing, skip this series. Also thanks to Deva for making the mysteries of posting book covers clear!

R. Tezak | 6 comments I am currently reading The Care and Treatment of Pirates, not a paranormal romance, but a good historical swashbuckling read. The Hero of the story has a half sister who is half Jamaican, she is a secondary character but she does have a few scenes where she in involved with an Englishman. I am enjoying the book, its well written and the hero and heroine are hot, and though it starts out slow its a really excellent love story. I also love the fact that the sister is looked upon as attractive, even though she is not the main character its nice to find a historical romance with character of African decent.
