Grave Dance discussion

I couldn't wait to tear into this book, after finishing her first book Grave Witch . I find the main characters continually evolving. I can't wait to read Grave Memory .
What did you think of this book?

I really enjoyed the first two books and planned on reading the third (it was originally only going to be a trilogy) but now that the author's contract has been extended I'm going to shelve the series until it's completed. The author is going into the dreaded love triangle territory and I really, really HATE that tired writing trope. So I'll wait to see how all the dust settles before deciding if I'll oick this series up again. I've just really had my fill of triangle shenanigans, but that's just me.

Do you mean there is going to be more than 3? It would be great! I really enjoy her story telling, plus she has a lot of characters to work with. I really like Falin.
How did you find out about her contract?

I looked all over her website and blog and couldn't find where she mentions it anywhere. Ditto for her FB page. I finally found where she had tweeted about it back on feb 12th. Her tweet:

"Today's an extra day and I have extra special news: Roc contracted more Alex Craft books, so more Alex, Death, Falin, Roy, and all to come!"

This site mentions that it will be three additional books.

I like Falin too and I really feel like he's the suitor who has received more development as a character and that his relationship with Alex has been more fleshed out. But I just really hate love triangles and if KM is going to drag this one out then I'll probably wait until the series is done before deciding to see how it all ends.

Or maybe, KH will do like Patricia Briggs and have the heroine make her choice early in the series. That would be great, but I'm not holding my breath.

I loved the first book in this series. The second, not quite so much, but I am anxious for the next and looking forward to more.

I am excited to know there are going to be more Alex Craft books! I think I enjoyed Grave Dance as much, or more than, the first book. Actually am thinking about re-reading it because there are several scenes people have talked about that I don't remember. I don't usually forget plot twists, etc., so need to give this one another go.

Thanks for the links. I am so excited about more Alex Craft books. The way she has written them there are so many possibilities. I wonder how long after the 3rd book before the rest come out? I hate the wait.

I'm pretty sure she has a contest going on at her blog this week to win an advanced copy of Grave Memory (the next in this series).

I love the world-building of this series. In the aftermath of the Blood Moon in the last book, Alex has noticed some major changes in herself. Alex's love life could not possibly be more complicated. She grows so much in this book, the end does leave you hanging on a cliff hanger, those I don't like. If you do a cliff hanger you should give us the next book sooner.

Not much longer until the next book comes out. Since this was initially going to be a trilogy it will be interesting to see how this one ends.

Just bought the third book, love this series!

I finished & it was ok but just couldn't get into it. This won't be one of my gotta read series :(
