Carolyn F. I saw another group I'm in where the moderators put the books they are currently reading up and start a discussion on each one. Let's see how this works out.

Carolyn F. Okay, Helen of Troy, Odysseus? I'm so not into mythological books and this books talks about a lot of the gods. Hopefully, this will change my mind about this genre. (Crossing my fingers.)

Lily (lilithesque) I read this one a while back. I'll wait til your done to commment.

Carolyn F. Oh, I'm so wanting to look at your review but I'll hold off. They're back in modern (bizarro) times, which I'm liking - kind of like now but different.

Carolyn F. I'm liking the comic storyline more than the main storyline. That's kind of sad.

Carolyn F. Not one of my favorites that's for sure. It had a strike one with the mythology bent, then they threw in Merlin and Arthur - strike two. And the ending, I don't know what to say - strike three. If she does another book in this series, I doubt very much that I'll read it unless I forget about this one. I gave it 2 out of 5 stars.

Lily (lilithesque) Spoiler alert!

Yea, I gave it three and no real comment. There were flashes of good. I liked the end, sortof. I am just curious to see how the world rebuilds. I always love stuff written in colorado (home sweet home) but the story just didn't evoke enough steam for me to suspend disbelief. All the gods and stuff just overwelmed the story. I was way more interested in what was going on in California with her friends and the world, instead of the weirdness there at the center of the story.

I didn't want to comment though and color your perceptions when you were reading it. Sometimes folks hate stuff I love and it does put a damper on my reading when I hear real bad reviews.

OH well, I LOVE Kitty though.

Carolyn F. You're right about the people in California. I would have liked their story more. I like this author, but this series, not so much.
