Good day fellow Potters, Swans and Cullens. What did you expect when you read the title of the book ,Twilight, before knowing any back-up information about the storyline? Many book titles are deceptive nowadays, is Twilight one of them? I mean Harry Potter and the blah, blah, blah titles are quite obvious!

Maria (Maryaha) I didn't know what to expect but the cover called my attention, that's for sure. Harry Potter's title is something good because we know what to expect :b

I guessed that Twilight would have something to do with Twilight an apple and vampires. :) Harry Potter made me think of a hairy kid ((LOL)) otherwise I didn't really know what to expect from that one. :D

the first ttime i saw a twilight book was when my mum baught my brother the whole series to take with him to read overseas. I was bored witing for my mum to finish shopping so i started reading the first page (this was in 2010) and i was like "i read the first page and was really bored" and i had no idea what it was about! then about a year later after i heard lorts of stuff about it 'cause of the movie i decided to give it another go. BUT! i didn't read from the start, i read the excerpt from mignight sun and i was entranced. then i started reading it ((in secret 'cause my parents don't want me to read about vamps and weres etc.)) and i was just.. so in to it that i continued!

unfortunetly SOMEONE *glares at brother* lost the second book opn the plane so i read the second book last after my sis borrowed it for me ^_^

Jess Russell | 4 comments The titles have hardly anything to do with the actual content in the book :) but i have no issues with that.

Okay, Twilight was kind of stupid for the title in my opinion. No offense to people who like it intended

i know why twilight was called twilight, each of the books mentioned the title at least once in the book.
this is what she wrote: (the auther:)

Why did you pick the title Twilight?

Twilight was not the easiest book to title. When I started sending out queries, I called it Forks for lack of a better idea. The first thing my agent advised me was that the title was going to have to change. We played around with a lot of different titles, and nothing seemed to convey the right feel. We brainstormed through emails for about a week. The word twilight was on a list of "words with atmosphere" that I sent her. Though these words were meant to be used in combination with something else, the word twilight stood out to both of us. We decided to try it out, and, after a little adjustment time, it started to work for both of us. It isn't absolutely perfect; to be honest, I don't think there is a perfect title for this book (or if there is, I've never heard it). When I look at the titles other countries have used (examples: Germany: Bis zum Morgengrauen which is "Until Dawn" or "Bite" if you add an "s" to make it "biss" (if you look at the German book cover on the Twilight International page); Finland: "Temptation;" France: "Fascination;" and Japan, which has split it into three separate books: "The Boy Whom I Love is a Vampire," "Blood Tastes Sadness," and "The Vampire Family in the Darkness."), it seems like I might be right about that. (Both New Moon and Eclipse were much easier to title, and the titles also fit better.)
