Angelina I totally think there may be people down there already. But I still can't figure out why they were supposedly put into cryo sleep a whole year before they were to be launched. This was on the first 5 pages of the first book, but I still can't get that out of my head. I mean, it is one thing that they reached their destination a whole year early too, and that they can't communicate with earth, and I just don't know. I believe that in all the centuries that have gone by, when they didn't reach the planet and they lost communication, FRX had a back up plan, there was a different space ship, right? Or maybe their clones are down there? I don't know I can barely think at this point I am too excited. lol

Nat (babayaga4) | 2 comments Plot points I think possible.
1. I think Orion will wake up first and manipulate Amy's parents when they wake up.
2. Elder will prevent Orion from going through corporal punishment such as never experiencing life on a planet and let him loose our a feeling of kinship.
3. Orion makes a heroic sacrifice for all redeeming himself in the eyes of Amy.
4. A stone age sapient species may exist on the planet
5. Orion is right after all and the frozen colonists attempt to enslave the ship dwellers so they don't have to do the dangerous physical work.
6. Predators terrorize the colony constantly.
7. Plague sweeps across the colony.
8. A message from earth is picked up explaining that the only hope for humanity is in the alpha-centauri system.
9. Elder is given no respect by the frozens due to his age while the shipers support him alone.
10. A smaller colony was founded by a last ditch effort to help humanity from the last resources left on earth due to the degeneration from nuclear war and excessive mining but remains in hidden location far from the dangerous predators.

Angelina I think both your points 9 and 10 are very possible, and I would really like that to happen. I mean, they have been there hovering above the planet for many many years, so, it is definitely a possibility that someone else has reached it because they hadn't before. But I still can't figure out the thing on the first 5 pages is when the guys freezing Amy's family say something about freezing them a year prior to the actual take off of the ship. That is fishy.

Nat (babayaga4) | 2 comments Other potential plot points I can think of:
1. Godspeed crashes down. Its old and most of the people left and it was not meant to last forever
2. Another contrived reason preventing Amy from awakening her parents. Please don't this be so as her father seems cool what with him teaching her combat and I am kinda suspicious about her mother but most importantly a problem dragged on for this long is exasperating weapons.
3.Elder being mocked for his named by frozen's. Small thing but expected as he truly is the youngest.
4. Orion gaining support from shippers as the frozens treat them as second-class.

How many people were frozen anyway?

Angelina i believe it was around 350 people...not sure
