BOOKS!

message 2: by Cami (new)

Cami (camikittr) Well, I'm reading Catching Fire (The Hunger Games #2). I'm 99% done! It's REALLY good!

message 3: by Khalif (new)

Khalif finally, we talk about books on this page! I mean, we talk about everything else.

message 4: by Cami (new)

Cami (camikittr) Haha! Is anybody here a Hunger Games fan? I just finished Catching Fire and it is SUCH a cliffhanger!

(view spoiler)

message 5: by Jocelyn (new)

Jocelyn (joc113) | 2640 comments I didn't read all the books, but frankly, I didn't need to. I know the entire story just from talking to people about it.

message 6: by Fran (new)

Fran (franswims) | 3422 comments I know right, Sugarbug!! I had Mockingjay right there so I could start reading it like it was the next chapter!

message 7: by [deleted user] (new)

Yeah sugarbug the ending of CF was awesome! I heard the movie might have to be put off because Jennifer Lawrence (Katniss Everdeen) has to be in X-Men (rolls eyes)

message 8: by Fran (new)

Fran (franswims) | 3422 comments Gary Ross isn't directing :(

message 9: by Cami (new)

Cami (camikittr) Poop. :(

message 10: by [deleted user] (new)

I know. It's okay if they find a good director though..

message 11: by Cami (new)

Cami (camikittr) Yeah. But if there's a bad director... *doesn't even want to say it*

message 12: by Jocelyn (new)

Jocelyn (joc113) | 2640 comments XD

message 13: by Fran (new)

Fran (franswims) | 3422 comments Ouch, I hope that they stay as true to the book as they did in the first one.

message 14: by Cami (new)

Cami (camikittr) Yeah! But Madge wasn't even a character in the movie! How could they?

message 15: by Fran (new)

Fran (franswims) | 3422 comments I get why she wasn't in the movie. I mean of course I wish she was but I don't think it took away too much.

message 16: by [deleted user] (new)

It didn't take away anything!

message 17: by Fran (new)

Fran (franswims) | 3422 comments Nope, I think it might make a more significant difference in the 2nd and 3rd movie. When (view spoiler) (End of Catching Fire/ Beginning of Mockingjay.

message 18: by Jocelyn (new)

Jocelyn (joc113) | 2640 comments Ahh. So true.

GO SHARKS!!!!!!!!

message 19: by [deleted user] (new)

Not necessarily. If they have Maisilee Donilee then that could be significance enough. And why not show Katniss' house being (view spoiler)

message 20: by Fran (new)

Fran (franswims) | 3422 comments That's true. But I thought she made a remark about (view spoiler)

message 21: by [deleted user] (new)

A group full of geeks and the last post in the books thread was April? :C

Anyways, the library system for where I live sucks and they don't really have anything good, and my mom said we'd probably go to the other library Friday, so I checked their website, and they have all the books I've bee looking for! C:

Oh, and sorry about hardly ever getting on Goodreads anymore.

message 25: by Gabby (new)

message 31: by Gabby (new)

Gabby (Gabby123) | 853 comments I'm reading Monsters of Men, the sequel to The Knife of Never Letting Go and The Ask and the Answer

SOO GOOD. ARGH

message 32: by [deleted user] (new)

I have The Knife of Never Letting Go right now, but I haven't read it yet.

I actually just finished reading Vesper, and I'm regretting not picking up the sequels like I was going too. :(

I'm reading Mockingjay really slowly because I'm reading it simultaneously with someone else.

message 39: by Gabby (new)

Gabby (Gabby123) | 853 comments Do you like it better than you liked the first book? From what I remember, you weren't too fond of it XD

Sarah (agentsd) | 11810 comments Mod
See, I liked Catching Fire a LOT more than the first one. XD I don't like Mockingjay as much as Catching Fire, but I like it more than Hunger Games.

Becky (MissFooFoo) | 4249 comments Mod
I have to read 'Lord of the Flies' for school.

I need a book to read now. I haven't read a book in ages

Jessica (Goldenfurpro) (goldenfurproductions) | 4919 comments How is that possible 0___O

I'm sorry, I can't even go a day without reading a book!

message 43: by Becky, AwesomeOne (new)

Becky (MissFooFoo) | 4249 comments Mod
I've been so busy! I have about 2 - 3 hours of homework after school and I don't get home till late afternoon cause I live a while from school.

It's been pretty horrible
I'm starting to read 'The Great Gatsby"

message 44: by ange (new)

ange (undercommons) Me too! I can barely read much anymore...;__;

Is it good?

message 45: by Becky, AwesomeOne (new)

Becky (MissFooFoo) | 4249 comments Mod
I've read the first 3 pages haha. It seems like its going to be an interesting book. :)

message 46: by ange (new)

ange (undercommons) (: Sure seems like it! My friends and I have made plans to go see the movie during the summer...the trailer looks really good :D
Then again trailers usually do unless you know the book and everything is really screwed up already just from the trailer...
Then you'll know the movie will be horrendous.

message 47: by Becky, AwesomeOne (new)

Becky (MissFooFoo) | 4249 comments Mod
Good explanation haha

Jessica (Goldenfurpro) (goldenfurproductions) | 4919 comments An author letting their book get made into a movie is like selling your soul to the devil.

message 49: by Jocelyn (new)

Jocelyn (joc113) | 2640 comments I hate the Hunger Games. Haven't read the other two, probably because I so disliked the first one.

I mean, it's a fairly sensible plotline...but the writing? It's atrocious!

message 50: by LiveLoveTumble (new)

LiveLoveTumble | 1534 comments Really? I thought the writing was good, just the plotline was rather disturbing...
