Zoe This book should be a movie. When it is from the person who is deaf's point of view then in the movie you shouldn't be able to hear, or if the person is only able to hear from one ear the theater should nay use one side of speakers so you sort of can only hear from one ear too.

Joclyn Interesting! I would love to see this book as a movie!!

Judy Yes, movie, please!

Rebecca Pierce Well, I think it would really depend on who made the movie...

Hannah Dear It would be very interesting. I don't see it doing very well considering that it centers around deaf people and the constant lack of sound would aggravate some people. I, on the other hand, love deaf culture and I know some basic ASL. I would love to see this movie.

Susanne Davison Some books are meant to be just books. I think the magic would be lost. The text and illustrations are what make this book so special. Just like The Invention of Hugo Cabaret...the movie was good but it didn't not hold the same excitement for me that the book did.

marc this book would make a wonderful movie

Judy It would truly be a challenge to make. Anyone know if it has been optioned?

Vanessa I cant say if its been optioned I know the options though

Jamie It would be awesome if they made it a silent film with sound only at key points in the movie, as was done in the film "The Artist". I don't think making it primarily silent would effect it's reception if it's done well.
