Just wanted to let the group know that there are a lot of free Kindle e-books on Amazon.com right now that fit in with the objectives of the group.
I don't own a Kindle, but Amazon also has a free downloadable Kindle for PC that I've been using. Some examples of related books that I've downloaded from there are: The Lost World by Arthur Conan Doyle (reading it right now and it's great!), Tom Swift and His Submarine Boat by Victor Appleton, many of the Mars books and a trove of other Edgar Rice Burroughs classics, The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde by Robert Louis Stevenson, Gulliver's Travels by Jonathan Swift, several Jules Verne novels and several H.G Wells novels.
I'm sure that there are other books that would be of interest to the group there that I am unaware of as well, so have at it. You sure can't beat free!
Also, I just found and downloaded Trips to the Moon by Lucian of Samosata that was previously mentioned in the Proto-Science Fiction Background and Examples thread.
