Storm of Swords by George RR Martin.

I may as well just donate Martin $7000, 000 ,000,000 he is such a good writer

message 2: by [deleted user] (new)

Yep. I am sure Dustin and Sonja (not in group yet) and Jay agree.

message 3: by Robin (new)

Robin I'm in between books. *Is sad* Must go look around for a few.

Oh yes, I definitely agree that GRRM is an amazing writer!

Dustin Currently, I am in the process of re-read the first three Eragon books, in preparation for the final book, Inheritance.

Plus, I've got about 60 pages left of Wizard & Glass, then I'll be reading The Wind Through The Keyhole!! Yay!

message 7: by [deleted user] (new)

Hey Dustin, could you let me know whether Wind Through The Keyhole is better read in between books 4 and 5 or better read after all 7?

message 8: by Dustin (new)

Dustin Well without having read it (obviously,) I would reading it after IV, as it takes place in between the two.. I will let you know, though.

message 9: by Dustin (new)

Dustin I'm so excited, I finished Wizard & Glass last night (I really hadn't anticipated that,) and now I just have to wait until tomorrow to get TWTTK!!

message 10: by Kathryn (new)

Kathryn (kcanty313) I am reading The Wastelands, which is the third book in Stephen King's Dark Tower series. Can't wait to get my hands on a copy of The Wind Through the Keyhole!

message 11: by [deleted user] (new)

TWTTK came out on the 23rd in NZ! Yay me!!

message 12: by Char (new)

Char I love the GRRM series, I just wish he wasn't taking quite so long in getting them out to us.
I'm reading two main ones now:
Geek Love which is sort of horrific, but mostly bizarre, and Speed Dating with the Dead.

I think that is why I am not picking up GRRM's books. I don't like to read a series which isn't finished. If I have to wait too long to read the next installment, I lose interest or I forget important details. It's on my to read list...one day...Plus, I am still highly, romantically involved with my reading of King. :)

I have recently went and purchased the whole series. I am looking forward to reading it. Right now however I am in the middle of a great novel "Lonesome Dove". This is the novel I am reading at home. I usually read one at home and one at the office so I generally am reading more than one book at a time. I just recently finished Patricia Cornwells "Cause of Death"

Donna, I read Lonesome Dove just after Christmas. It was the first book I purchased with my Christmas gift card. It is in my top 5 books of all time. I hope you enjoy it. : )

Well thank you very much for the warm welcoming. I believe by the time I finish the first 5 in the series I'm sure the next book will be ready for me to read. I have also in my pile to read the Hunger games series and I am just starting "The girl with the dragon tattoo". Hope they live up to the hype.

I loved The Hunger Games! And The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo trilogy are some of my favorite books of all-time! If you have any questions about it, feel free to ask anytime! I hope you enjoy them as much as I did.

message 24: by [deleted user] (new)

Yes, there meant to be 7 with the next 2 being called The Winds of Winter (yay! Winter has finally come) and A Dream of Spring

message 25: by Char (last edited Apr 27, 2012 06:31AM) (new)

Char I finished Speed Dating with the Dead, and I liked it a lot.
I also finished the latest issue of Penny Dreadnought: Uncommitted Crimes. I have to say that this is one of the best magazines I have ever read. This was the 4th issue, I think-but every issue so far has been consistently good.
Now I'm back to Geek Love.

Jason Baldwin-Stephens | 7 comments Currently reading, The Wind Through the Keyhole (The Dark Tower, #4.5) by Stephen King . I've been a little worried about this novel since King announced he'd written it just because it has a lot to live up to. So far I'm pleasantly surprised with how much I'm enjoying it.

The Hunger Games is very good. It's disturbing though. The whole economy and the way of life. Its something we all need to think about.

The 3 main characters die in the Clash of Kings or A Storm of Swords. I know there are 2 characters that will last the duration of the series.

Hi Dustin,

Really only made a small dent so far. About 40 "pages" into the ebook which is only about 228 pages total. How far into are you?

Dustin I've finished The Skin-Man (Part 1,) which is about 109 pages into the HB edition.:)

The three main characters die in SOS and I think 1 or 2 in COK. If you want to talk about them, there is a Game of Thrones book series topic in the books folder

message 38: by Char (new)

Char I finished Bones and it was pretty good, but there were some missing/misplaced words, which is getting on my nerves lately. 3.5 *
I just started The Providence Rider. I just LOVE McCammon, so I'm psyched!

Hi, Charlene!

I've been meaning to ask you.. does Providence Rider take place before and after Mr. Slaughter?

message 43: by Dustin (last edited May 08, 2012 10:16AM) (new)

Dustin Last night, I finished The Wind Through The Keyhole!
In response to your previous question, Josiah, I enjoyed reading 4.5 in its rightful place, but even King describes it as a stand-alone novel. I think it's more rewarding to proceed with TWTTK after W&G. I think it could go either way, though. Personally, I could never read it without having already books I-IV, simply because I'd feel completely lost. But to each their own, I guess..
