HI THERE...

...now everyone have a long deep meaningful conversation where you try to dissect the meaning I put into those two words. GO.

Sorry, I'm just sick of English.

ℂᖺαᖇᒪἷ℮ ⊰1017 &Tardis⊱ (charlie_awesome) | 124 comments Hi as in interjection (used as an exclamation of greeting); hello!
there as in adverb
1.
in or at that place ( opposed to here): She is there now.
2.
at that point in an action, speech, etc.: He stopped there for applause.
3.
in that matter, particular, or respect: His anger was justified there.
4.
into or to that place; thither: We went there last year.
5.
(used by way of calling attention to something or someone): There they go.

Together meaning, hello to that person in the specific place

Oh wow. I thought I was the only one who thought about these things. The English language is such a random, jumbled-up mess of other languages! Some words I just feel so uncomfortable even saying, because when you know their meaning it seems like a really stupid thing to say! If I want to sound all wise and pick my words carefully, I will end up just not saying anything. That is why I want to invent my own language, but I have a sinking feeling that I would have a difficult time gaining followers. Ugh, words. Sorry I'm ranting on but at least I'm not spamming the intro page :P

English is a beautiful, strange, wacky, messed-up, incomprehensible language, which is why I love it.

message 8: by [deleted user] (new)

I suppose it makes puns very likely, and it enables descriptive and unique novels.

Do you take Spanish? You will begin to appreciate English more.

message 12: by [deleted user] (new)

Haha I am learning Spanish. The sexism of it is so annoying!

Kam (iamwhowhoareyou) | 39 comments I'm not taking Spanish. I want to learn Russian. I have a fascination with anything and everything Russian. I just love that word...

French is easy. You just add e's and minus some syllables to some words.
