I was at a book club in February and we talked about the various people in the book that helped me along the way. We talked all about who they liked the most and why. Who is yours?

Jennifer | 1 comments Dona Graciela. Every little girl needs a Dona Graciela in her life. The first time I read this book I kept waiting for Dona to save Olguita from her hell.

Also, each time I read this book, I wonder just how Dona Graciela felt not being able to save you. I pictured her sitting there, praying and praying some more that God would spare you the pain that you were enduring.

You did such a wonderful job describing who she was, what she looked like and why she was so important to you. She has obviously left an indelible mark on your life and this book was a perfect way of honoring her existence in your life. The love that you had for each other was so profound.

When reading your book, Olga, each and every time you described Dona Graciela, it caused the reader to reflect on the "Dona" we have had in our lives.

Thank you, Dona Graciela, for your helping to save Olga, and thank you Olga for introducing us to her.
