Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 21897 comments Over in a Flash - hopefully will be a reoccurring challenge.

I stole this idea (with permission) from the SOS: Serious Overload of Series group.

Duration: May 1st – May 31, 2012

Rules: Read 2 books with the following items found on their covers; choose 2 of the 3 options below. Be sure to post your book covers, dates read, and star ratings. If you want, you can do this at the end of the month after you reviewed your covers. Feel free to do all three if you want.

Member Choosing: This month's choices have been selected by Sherin . She is from Bangalore, India, and has been a member of GoodReads since October, 2010 and Happily Ever After Café since since Feb, 2012. Besides Reading, she likes Cooking, Music, Quizzes, Movies, and Dancing. According to her GoodReads bookshelves, her top five authors are Susan Elizabeth Phillips, Nora Roberts, Judith McNaught, Agatha Christie, and J.K. Rowling.

Color: Red - read a book with a predominately red cover.
Holiday Theme: Labor Day - read a book that has the word “Unity/United” in the title. Or a character that is a mother - or a female who raises children (Mother’s Day). Or is a laborer, Social Worker, Revolutionary, or is of South-Asian origin (South Asian Heritage Month). **See Posts #11 & #12 for definition and a helpful suggestion with these.
Items: Emerald (May’s birthstone), Lily of the Valley (May’s flower). Also work tools, Moon (Buddha Poornima/Buddha’s birthday), Smileys (National Smile week in UK), Eagle (Cinco de Mayo), Towel (Towel Day), or a Bicycle (Bicycle Week).

Amy J. | 5 comments I don't know much about geography. What countries are considered south asia?

I guessing Japan doesn't work. It's more east than south

message 11: by Lisa Kay, Tinker Bell (new)

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 21897 comments Amy, according to Wiki:
According to the United Nations geographical region classification, Southern Asia comprises the countries of Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Iran, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka. By other definitions and interpretations (see below), Burma and Tibet are also sometimes included in the region of South Asia. South Asia is home to well over one fifth of the world's population, making it both the most populous and most densely populated geographical region in the world.
