So, any one have thoughts about this book coming out?

When he read it to Maurice Sendak a few months ago, I think I literally yelled out loud, "I *have* to buy that! Oh, please release it, please release it!" So yes, I squealed with delight when he said last night it was going to be published (And soon, too! I don't have to wait long!).

Anyone else pre-ordering or scoping out their closest bookstore?

I saw months ago that it was coming. I didn't know it would be quite this soon.

The sad thing is, Maurice Sendak likes it :)

Also, I am Polish so the title has double meaning to me ;)

Instead of telling jokes nowadays, we aspire to be like the Polish (and all they had to put up with for years).

I noticed a few people already had it added as to-read a looooooong time ago. Where was I when this was announced? How'd I miss it? :( (I even did a search on GR [and maybe Amazon, too] when he first mentioned it with Maurice Sendak, just in case it was real, but the database had nothing.)

It was not real when he did the bit with Sendak, but within a week, it was real. I read about it on one the publishing sites I subscribe to.

Ah! Darnit -- I guess I just gave up on the search too quickly.
