Julianna (authorjuliannad) | 42 comments Well, since I don't know about the article and haven't read it, I can't say if agree with it or not.

My own personal opinion: I can't think of any reason Breaking Dawn shouldn't be made into a movie. Many times while I was reading it, I found myself thinking that it would make a great movie. If all the other books in the series are being made into movies, leaving out Breaking Dawn would be like leaving the story without an ending.

I have to agree with you Julie 100%. It would be like not doing the last Harry Potter movie! But I would be interested to read that article. Leah do have a link to it???

Megan (MegRichii) | 3 comments I totally agree with you!!! Even though a lot of people didn't like breaking dawn, I personally loved it! The way Bella progresses and the way Bella and Edwards relationship progresses is increasingly interesting. If they didn't make breaking dawn into a movie It would be like some stupid clifhanger. People would wonder how the movie would have turned out if they ended up making it. If they didn't make the movie then people wouldn't "see" how Bella ends up and how Bella and Edwards relationShip turns out.

Julianna (authorjuliannad) | 42 comments I read the article, but I still don't really agree with the author. By her own admission, she was one of the people who didn't really care for the book. It seemed to me that most of the points she made were merely editorializing the things she didn't like and so naturally she would feel that those things would be a stumbling block in translating it to the screen. In my opinion, she also didn't seem to have an understanding of many of the nuances in the story either.

As far as translating the love scenes and Renesmee's gruesome birth to the screen while still keeping it PG-13, I don't see a problem with that either. I know there weren't any actual love scenes in the book, but if they wanted to put some in the movie to spice things up a little, I wouldn't care. PG-13 movies are constantly pushing the boundaries with sex and violence, so I don't see how this would be any different. I can certainly imagine ways that they could do both and still keep it within the PG-13 rating.

As to the ending of the book sans conflict. I can see how that might be unsatisfying to some, but I say what's wrong with a happily-ever-after? After all, the whole Twilight Saga is essentially a non-traditional fairy tale.

BTW, here's the link, if anyone else is interested in reading it: http://businessmirror.com.ph/index.ph...

Yvonne (mommairish) Thanks Julie

Natasha (nsivanandan) | 1 comments I think breaking dawn would be a hard movie to make cause it was all bloody and stuff when she was having Nessie and it is such a thick book so. Well I cant wait for the next movie.

message 8: by [deleted user] (new)

It will also be hard because it is split up in the book

message 9: by Haley (new)

Haley Mathiot (thebookbop) i heard on her FAQ that they'll have to do 2 movies cuz it's such a huge book.

message 10: by Aliya (new)

Aliya (ayilamina222) | 1 comments Breaking dawn should be made into a movie becasue the director of twilight was fired becasue well the movie sucked. So know they have a new director, so hopefully she'll make the movie good.

message 11: by Erica (new)

Erica (ericamariej) I agree but i dont.
Yes it would be hard to keep it pg-13 bc of all the blood and other things..but I still think they should make it into a movie. It would be utterky wrong not to..its like saying tht they arnt making the last Harry Potter Book a movie...If they dont make all the books into to books i will cry.

Well it's known that Summit made the movie deal with Meyers up to Eclipse, but I would imagine it doesn't mean they will exclude putting BD into a movie contract as well. They could just be waiting for NM to make them more $$$$.

message 13: by Julianna (new)

Julianna (authorjuliannad) | 42 comments I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that Summit was already negotiating for the movie rights to Breaking Dawn before Twilight came out.

message 14: by Yvonne (new)

Yvonne (mommairish) Especially after seeing the success of Twilight, why on earth wouldn't they?

message 15: by Hannah (new)

Hannah (hannah_rose555) I didn't like the way the woman who wrote the article well, wrote the article. She was so negative, and it's like she didn't even understand the book. Maybe she should read it again. With the movie, I am so for them making it. The only thing is it's going to be hard to portray Renesmee. She'll be like 2 months and talking in complete sentences. I'm guessing that's going to be difficult.

message 16: by jessica83 (new)

jessica83 Ward (stardustw83) | 34 comments Who cares about the rating that it will have? I loved the book although long it was more grown up i think. That may be its only down fall is it really scaled away from teeny boppers and was in the land of adults and im not sure how many older adults truly loved the movie even if they loved th ebook series.

I loved the book and the movie series wouldn't be complete if they didnt' do breaking dawn as well.

message 17: by Joanne (new)

Joanne (ioanasaunt) | 25 comments But why? They should give reasons!

message 18: by Emily (new)

Emily (emily1104) | 5 comments i think it would be a good movie but with all the blood and gore it would probably be rated R, and it wouldnt get alot of veiwers

message 19: by Joanne (new)

Joanne (ioanasaunt) | 25 comments Even in the book, it didn't mention the exact details how Bella and Edward made love. So the same method can be applied to the movie. They could just cut some gruesome parts in Renesmee's birth, right?

And about Renesmee talking in complete sentences while she's only two months - how about computer or camera tricks? They could make famous animal characters talk (e.g. Stuart Little), so I think it's already possible for Renesmee's.

message 20: by Haley (new)

Haley Mathiot (thebookbop) personally i hope they don't make the movie, the'd probably ruin it like they did with twilight. gr.

Julianna (authorjuliannad) | 42 comments Well, according to comments made by Robert Pattinson at the Cannes Film Festival today, it is official that a Breaking Dawn movie will be made. There's no word on when shooting will start, but that's not too surprising since New Moon isn't even finished yet.

Here the short article. If you haven't read Breaking Dawn yet there is a spoiler in it.

Samary | 12 comments I agree with all of yuo but disagree at the same time.
The point is that they should make it into a movie either way, cause they'll make a ton of money anyways so why not?!
anyways as faar as the rating goes its going to be difficult to keep it at pg-13 cause of all the things that happen.
I just want it to become a movie cause if not their just going to kill it.
AND i wana see Taylors ass shoot!

Samary | 12 comments ok this has NOTHING to do with the topic BUT
i am DYING to read a good book! D:

message 24: by Krista (new)

Krista If you haven't read The Host yet its a really good book. It's also written by Stephenie Meyer so the style of writing will be similar.
