William Mego (willmego) So in the beginning, we only had a few members, and all of them had read a great number of books, so we selected two books because, well, we usually had not read BOTH of them. Now we have a lot more people, and the nomination process is getting a little crazy, with 20 something books being nominated. So, I and my fellow mods have decided to halve the process, and for June, there will be two polls, one consisting of books nominated (1 per person) by anybody, mods and members, and the other poll will consist of books nominated by the mods only, and mods get TWO picks for that poll only. BOTH polls will be voted on by everybody though, so nobody loses a say in the matter.

I could imagine that some people won't be crazy about this, and let me point out that our mods were members who proved themselves with the activity and forthrightness of their posts, you could do the same. Also, in this modern age, where so much media is at your fingertips, and judging between things is actively discouraged by so many, often times the most important act AFTER that of artistic creation is one of curation. That's what we, members and mods, do.
