I think that Humbert really knows what he is doing with Lolita is wrong because he has to bribe her with money and gifts and promises of places to visit to get her to do what he wants. Lolita also knows this and uses this to her own advantage to get what she wants from him.
Does anyone have any final thoughts about Lolita? How about the way the book ended? Who was surprised at Humbert's reaction to Quilty taking "his Lolita"? And that Humbert murdered Quilty? I thought also that he should be in prison not just for the murder, but for the rape of Lolita. However, he seemed to be using his feelings for Lolita as a defense for the murder of Quilty.
