Hertzan Chimera (hertzanchimera) | 225 comments I absolutely LOVE this book; it's an early one, but full of the great promise PKD was to unleash during his lifetime.

His most lucid horror story, until PRE-PERSONS (short) and COSMIC PUPPETS (book).

What's your opinion?

Adrien (drainster) | 6 comments Yeah, Game Players a decent one. But it's not an early one. It's from his incredibly productive early 60s period, post Man in the High Castle.
Cosmic Puppets is from 1953, and best left to PKD completists, from what I remember.

Hertzan Chimera (hertzanchimera) | 225 comments Cosmic Puppets is from the time when PKD was contemplating becoming a HORROR writer, rather than the Social Anthropologist he became.

I read this book last year and i was impressed by it,surprised. It has a lesser reputation compared to his other mid level, top level books.

I enjoyed the characters,the game,the world.

Hertzan Chimera (hertzanchimera) | 225 comments thanks Mohammed, TGPOT is definitely one of his more traditional 'Twilight Zone' books.

:)

Are there any other books of his like this? I wonder i like the weirdness of it,the mood.

Hertzan Chimera (hertzanchimera) | 225 comments I still have a soft spot for Solar Lottery - another corker.

Hertzan Chimera (hertzanchimera) | 225 comments PS: I did a full movie script for Game Players of Titan called BLUFF, how do I get it made into a movie?

LOL.

It's quite 'clever' how I MELDED a couple of characters, the lawyer and the music store owner... and made it more 'cinematic'. This was years ago, of course, but it's gotta be good, right?

Pwetty pwease????

:)
