One I just got was

I'd always been resistant to reading self-published authors, but when I got my Kindle and first visited the kindle store, I was positively bludgeoned with wave after wave of self-published books, and I thought "oh great, now I have to wade through all this crap to find the REAL books".
But for some reason, Howey's Wool Omnibus Edition caught my eye, and the intriguing story and the many glowing reviews (as well as the cheap price) compelled me to give it a shot. And I'm so glad I did.
EDIT: Good thing I looked, because I see you've already got one of his books on your list. Still, if you haven't yet read Wool, I can't recommend it enough. It's way better than Half Way Home.
EDIT2: It seems Mr. Howey's been here before, so probably many here are already familiar with his stuff. Still, I can't not mention him here.

You should check out this website then. She's got some free, some .99 plus some more posted on her website from all different authors. http://inlibrisveritas.wordpress.com/
