Halley (jacketgirl) can i have link to this group?

message 7: by Veronica (new)

Veronica (v_a_b) TTYL by Lauren Myracle

It's written entirely in IM format. Need I say more?

And personally, I like twilight (though it has some of the cheesiest dialogue I've ever seen in a published book) but I won't berate you for disliking it. It would lead to an entirely pointless argument that would go in circles, and, personally, I don't want to get into that mess. I got into that mess with harry potter and believe me, it was NOT pretty.

message 8: by Leiko (new)

Leiko Xantara (arrogant_protector) AHHH! That book sounds horrible! (The TTYL one)

message 9: by Leiko (new)

Leiko Xantara (arrogant_protector) Cool!

message 10: by Halley (new)

Halley (jacketgirl) SWeet!

message 11: by Yui (new)

Yui (ilovegrendel) wait, why is twilight bad?

message 12: by [deleted user] (new)

because it IS. Twilight's stupid.

message 13: by [deleted user] (new)

Oh and awful book:
Love That Dog
Sharon Creech

message 14: by Danae (new)

Danae (the_secret_writer) | 22 comments hey i like twilight why dont you like it?

message 15: by Dylan (new)

Dylan (dmfriend26) It completely ruins the vampire genre. That's why.

message 16: by [deleted user] (new)

Thank you!

message 17: by Danae (new)

Danae (the_secret_writer) | 22 comments Yeah i guess but it is still pretty good i think

message 18: by Yui (new)

Yui (ilovegrendel) yeah-but aren't there nice vampires too like edward?

message 19: by Dylan (new)

Dylan (dmfriend26) There may be, but the fact is that vampires sleep in coffins, and they can't come out of those coffins until nightfall. Meaning they can't come out in the daytime. Even if it is cloudy. Also vampires can't drink the blood of animals forever. It weakens them greatly. Sure Stephenie Meyer made an interesting story for teenage girls, but Twilight should be avoided for the people who enjoy classic vampire stories. But you can read whatever you want to read.

message 20: by Danae (new)

Danae (the_secret_writer) | 22 comments to tell you the truth that was the first vampire book i had ever read and i didnt know any of the vampire rules but wow you really do know alot more about vampires then me ha (im not kidding) and im glad i know now thanks

message 21: by Dylan (new)

Dylan (dmfriend26) Sure. I would suggest reading Salem's Lot by Stephen King, Dracula by Bram Stoker, and Interview with the Vampire by Anne Rice. The're all classic vampire stories. Be warned they are much more graphic than Twilight.

message 22: by Yui (new)

Yui (ilovegrendel) twilight isn't bad- it just might be that the author didn't know much about vampires

message 23: by [deleted user] (new)

Well that's her fault!

message 24: by Danae (new)

Danae (the_secret_writer) | 22 comments ok ill read those and thanks

message 25: by [deleted user] (new)

I don't think its right to say that vampires have to be written a certin way. I mean, if you were to read all the books you could find that had a vampire in it, there would diffrences in all of them.

message 26: by Yui (new)

Yui (ilovegrendel) yeah, you're right-and i don't relly care 'cause i don't know a lot about vampires anyway.

message 27: by Chandani (new)

Chandani (milkduds920) Twilight was also the first vampire book i read and i HATE it. Im a mod in teh Haters group btw :P

I think its just badly written, and too jam packed full of cliches to have any good qualities!

GOD I HATE THAT BOOK!!!

message 29: by [deleted user] (new)

I hate If I Have a Wicked Stepmother, Where's My Prince? by Melissa Kantor

it looked good because it was a new-age telling of Cinderella... but instead of being herself, she pretty much tried to become like them. WHich meant thong, skin-tight - have to wear thong to not show underwear - short as hell dresses, and tons of make-up.

message 37: by [deleted user] (new)

boy... I only hate the twilight FANS...

Never EVER read Of Mice and Men (don't know the author) unless your very life depends on it. I had to read it for school. I honestly don't get why it's a 'classic'
