Happy New Year!
I'm afraid I haven't had a chance to pick up a book recently, been busy moving to a new place.

Busy time! Good luck with the move :-)

Let me know what you think of it! I have the book and hope to read it this year (so many on the "to read" list--both actual and mental lists).

Finally done :) I thought it was a good book -- a very interesting analysis of Americans' growing stupidity and intellectual laziness. I enjoyed it...it made me think of how nice it would be if we weren't losing ground in the world.

Thanks, Zach

That is still on my list--thanks for the update :-) Currently, I am reading Finding Flow The Psychology of Engagement with Everyday Life, and part of the discussion is related to some of the tenets of Unreason: he discusses the "bread and circuses" policies of the Roman empire and how mindless entertainment has replaced mindful leisure, or bettering ourselves. Interesting. Thanks again for the update--looking forward to reading Unreason :-)

Thanks for the suggestion - it sounds like something I would enjoy. I've put it on reserve at the library. Ellen

What are you reading Now? Of course, the full question is, "What are you reading now that was discussed on the Daily Show or Colbert Report?" :-)
I am reading God Is Not Great: How Religion Poisons Everything--truly excellent, and can't put it down!
