Hunger Games Trilogy discussion

Hi, I've been thinking of reading the Hunger Games Trilogy since I heard there was a movie out but some of the reviews I've read about the third and last book hasn't been all that positive and I really like a happy, good ending so I am wondering, you who have read it, should I? Does the two first books make up for the last? Is the last rly that bad as it seems?
Just generally should I put the effort in it?
I like my romance and suspense...

The first was really good, and the second was my favorite. However, in the last book, Collins spins her tale a bit more morbid. While the end isn't insanely happy, it's realistic, and still paints Katniss as content and comfortable in her life, if slightly haunted by all she's seen and done. I love this series to death, and it is only outranked by Harry Potter for me, but I will say that in the third book, Katniss seems like an entirely different being. That being said, I do concede that the change in tone is also very realistic given all that's happened to Katniss.

Basically, I would definitely suggest you read this if you liked any of the other major fandoms. Namely, Harry Potter, Percy Jackson, Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones, Mortal Instruments, etc. Hope I helped!

I think that you should read this book. It has a fast plot with agony, suspence and a bit of romance. It has an imaginative plot which is very interesting to read and the characters are all very unique that you will want to learn more about them. I won't tell you how it ends but even if there are bad reviews for this book I think that you should give it a try! :)

Yes, the hunger games series is probably (top 2) best series that I have ever read. You will thanks me after you read it. It's that good.

You'll be missing so much if you don't read this series! I agree with Kam though this my favorite series.

I think you should read it because it's kind of vilot but a fight to the death and there really good series. there like is katniss going to pick gale or peeta and who is going to servive it's pretty cool!

I think you really should read it. I really loved ALL of the books although the last was a bit depressing. It still had a happy ending though in my opinion.
