Stacey What are you reading now?

message 2: by Stacey (new)

Stacey I'm finishing up Lolita for book club tonight and 1/2 thru Coyote Dream which has been on my shelf for years.

message 3: by Mary (new)

Mary | 236 comments I've just started Defending Jacob by William Landay. I like the way it's reading and think I'm going to like it.

message 4: by Gretchen (new)

Gretchen (gkonkler5) I'm making my way through The Passage. Think it's gonna take me awhile to read. Enjoying it though just cuz it's FAT!

message 5: by Theresa (new)

Theresa I started Field Gray and really like it so far. I don't keep up with the Bernie Gunther series very consistently, but the books do not disappoint.

message 6: by Caroline (new)

Caroline (caro7) I'm still reading The Postmortal. I have to have it finished by Thursday in time for my book club on Friday. It's pretty good. I'm about halfway through.

This book made my top twenty favorite books ever.

message 8: by Liz (new)

Liz I just finished Ready Player One this morning. I really enjoyed it even though I'm not a gamer. I've now started Cat's Claw, always a pretty good series. This one features the Police Chief, Sheila Dawson, rather than China Bayles although she's still in it.

message 9: by Leslie (new)

Leslie | 95 comments I'm reading , "Snow Child," and , "This is how," by Augusten Burroughs. Both are just ok so far.

message 10: by Chie (new)

Chie (ara1e) | 1 comments I've just finished to read "1Q84 BOOK1" by Murakami Haruki.
And I started reading "lean start up" again.

message 11: by Julie (new)

Julie | 59 comments I'm reading White Noise by Don DeLillo. My daughter's friend had it in her yard sale pile and I rescued it. It was required reading in one of her HS English classes. I like it well enough to keep reading.

message 12: by Kel (new)

Kel | 34 comments I am reading "The Little Women Letters". It is good so far. It paralells the original and yet is also original and contemporary.

I enjoyed The Little Women Letters too.

Carol, what did you think of Tyler's new book? I really want to read it this summer.

It was shorter in length--less than 200 pages, but I love how she draws such quirky characters. When I heard the description, I thought the main character might be elderly, but he was not. When I read a novel like this, I can appreciate the craft of a good writer.
