Young Adult Book Reading Challenges discussion

Who's reading along this month?

I probably won't start until close to mid month.

I am not sure when I will start it, but I know it is going to be an interesting book. I have been looking around the web for discussion questions and there are many out there. It really sounds like this is a great book for young adults!

I just started it tonight!

I've read it a few weeks ago.

Angie, I have read it before, and I feel it is an excellent book for YA. I work in a high school and see some elements of this book come to life everyday. I also ran a book club last year with some freshmen and I know they loved the book.

I am going to see if my school library has it, because its not in the public library. I'd like to read it along with the group.

i read Speak just last year so i'm not going to re-read it now. but i'm eager to be involved in the discussion.

I'm afraid this book is not available in any of the libraries I'm a member of so I won't be participating.

I'm going to try! Still haven't got the book yet so I won't be starting for a while So, yeah, I'll try!!! X D

I read it last summer and so did my daughter. I need to reread it, but I am looking forward to the discussion.

I am excited, looks like the high school library where I works has copies, so I can get one. I just don't want to buy a book I already bought and read once before.

I've already read Speak..but I'll read along..

I just finished rereading it. I had read Speak a couple years ago and remembered really liking it at the time but couldn't remember any of the specifics. Even with the seriousness of the topic it is still a good read and I would definitely recommend it. I even found it somewhat refreshing after the last couple of teens books I've read (Living Dead Girl makes this book look like a fairy tale.) Has anyone seen the movie (Speak) that was based off of this book? Is it any good?

I haven't seen it. But I want to.

I saw the movie and I thought that it was pretty good. That opinion is without having yet read the book. It's waiting for me at the library but I have to wait until after I finish the book I'm currently reading to read it.

Well, I lied. Started and finished this on 1/5. I couldn't put it down.

I know, it's an addicting book... It's good.
