Friendz are fun to chat to. u can invite anyone that posts on this topic to be friends with. :) The whole point of this thread is to help you become friends with other members of the group. :)

God I'm new to this all!! None of my friends like to read so I'm in this alone

Really? I'm trying to encourage my friends to read more. Sadly, my encouragement is all in vain. They just don't like reading. I'm basically the only one out of my group of friends that read alot. :(

And it isn't hard, lol. :P :)

That sounds so much like me. They just don't know what their missing!!

I agree; they don't even try the book, and the only time they ever pick up a book is just to look at the front cover! I'm still trying to convince them, though. I may not make any impression on them, but I can at least try! I think they would enjoy books if they read them, not hate them. It's just another of one of those confusing questions, i guess; Why don't they read?

I take the stance that books and films are different media. But I still like the original books more.

I agree, and absolutely have to watch the movie if I've read the books, it's just a shame when they sometimes don't do the books justice. I used to be the one saying why read when you can watch, then a friend finally knocked through my thick scull, and opened my eyes to what I was missing

I like to (if possible) do both. A good or bad translation often drills into me how good the book really is. And also I see sometimes how something I did not properly understand in the book makes sense.

Yeah, or it could be the reverse. :)

Most of the people I know are like that as well. Remove not the old landmark is what I say...
