2025 Big Book Challenge discussion

If you go to the Group main page, 1/3 of the way down is the challenge widget. If you fill in the details of what you would like to do with this challenge and it will ask you to create a 'shelf'. This means that when you mark a book as finished from your currently reading shelf, you can choose the Big Book challenge shelf to add the book.... This will then be added to the widget....

If anyone experiences anhy problems, please let me know...

OK Deb - I folloowed your directions - how do I now enter the book titles I've already read this year. I do have them in my books read shelf on Good Reads.

The way I have done it is that I have searched the title in the search bar and gone to the main book page. Under the section 'my review' choose 'edit shelves', there should then be a shelf that you have created for this challenge. Just checked your profile and I think you have called it somethiing like 400 pages and over .... Select that one and it will automatically add it to your challenge.

When reading books in the future, when you click on the 'i'm finished' section and the white review panel comes up, you can select shelf 400 pages and over as well as any other shelves you want it to go in and it will automatically update your challenge.

I hope this makes sense but if yuo have any question, please do not hesitate to ask...

Your instructions are crystal clear, however, it is not working for me. I checked off my shelf that was automatically created for this challenge, however, it does not register. Any ideas?

Has anybody got there badge up on their blog yet? If so, did it work?

Deb, I have fixed it. Don't know how. I just deleted the old shelf and put a new one.

Ok I am attempting to add all the ones I read...

How do i list what i ahve read?

I have my books on a shelf and it added my most recent books to the widget but not the first big book I read for the year. The widget shows I've read 2 when I've read three and the missing book is definitely on the big books 2013 shelf. Not sure why. Anyway I also added a list on my post in this group.

Hi! Try going to that particular book in question, check to see if it has been put on your big book shelf. If not, you can add it from there. If it already is there, try taking it off the shelf and readding it.
