Also watch the formatting on the finished product- I hear itcan take a few goes and usually stuff like placing on the line is pretty critical for poetry.
You know that it's free to upload to Smashwords too, right?

Im gonna try and talk to them and see if I an work something out, probably wont work but gotta try!

As a word of advice, if you choose to pay for one of PA's a la carte Kindle conversion services, just be sure that you won't get screwed with them pricing your book like this one. You'd be better off just waiting until your contract ends than to end up like this poor author:

$21 for a kindle edition? That's ridiculous. :0

Why does this sound like an accusation, Justin? You were surrounded by threads about ebooks, we spoke about our experiences, a simple google search would have told you all you need to know, if you hadn't managed to pick up what the threads were all about. We also advised that you get out of your contract, thus freeing you. You never responded to that advice, not even in the posts.
Sorry, but I'm not my Indie Brother's Keeper.
You said :"And two I'm by no means going against any of you but I told many that I was looking to get it converted over a year ago! Gahh!! I'm not mad im just baffled as to why Im just now knowing this..maybe this wasnt available last year? yes? I hope so.."
You have got to be kidding? Have I signed a contract with you, to represent you? Am I here to promote your work and look after your needs? No. I've been as supportive as possible. Let's all remember we are all writers--we need to write!--not just to attend 'events' and read recommended books, and pitch each other's work.
It's getting draining, folks. There is such a desperation to sell and get stars, that I think it drives the readers away. Couple that with bad reactions to reviews, and readers will run away in droves. And then who are we left with? Other writers being the only ones to pitch to. Forget it.
My plain words to you: ditch your stupid publishers, they are dodgy. Retain sole rights to your work. Convert it to ebooks (bloody simple!!). Get it out there. Smile and thank people for reviews (no matter what the rating), get on with writing your next book (feel free to add the unfriending of Gina, to your list if this doesn't go down well).
Best to you and good luck. Gina.

You should probably forget about self-publishing your poetry book referenced above and go on to write something else. Your publishers are obviously rascals, so just let them win this round and write something different. I am making it my goal to publish four to five books this year, of varying lengths. We can only publish things that are good enough to publish, and we all have a different pace of writing, so I don't tell you to work at my pace (and I only published two last year), but surely you have something else in the pipeline?

I have always been appreciative of all comments. This thread was to say that I thought maybe I could do it without PA but we all know I cannot.
It's bad enough that im back against a wall with PA and I have people reminding me and telling me to get out of the contract like it's easy..that's all im going to say.

Nuff said."
I am working on another book but it may be a while, and yes it will be self published, now I know better lol.

Matt, 4 to 5 books a year?! How on earth do you fit that in? Impressed....

In any event upon hearing this I will be attempting to get my book into Kindle form and I shall throw a small party(ok maybe not) to honor this moment.
