Athira (Reading on a Rainy Day) (readingonarainyday) We may not be at the halfway point of the year, but we are at the halfway point of the readathon schedule. Is everyone having fun?

How did you all do during the May readathon?

Take some time in this thread to reflect on:
- books finished
- total time read
- total time listened
- pages read

Did you read as much as you hoped to, or not enough
what was your best reading day?

Brantley (bditto39) | 9 comments Terrible...too many hours spent working, driving, and visiting family back home to get much done. But I did get a little closer to catching up with my yearly goal!

Books finished: The Water Thief by Nicholas Lamar Soutter Why God Won't Go Away Is the New Atheism Running on Empty? by Alister E. McGrath
Pages read: 395

I planned on finishing at least 7 books, but I was only able to devote 2 days to reading this week. :(
Hopefully next RAT will be more focused and productive.

Samantha (missymaysreadingnook) Like Brantley, it was just a really busy week that I didn't foresee.

Books finished:
The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn by Mark Twain
Time read: No idea
Pages read: 276

It didn't help that Huckleberry Finn wasn't my kind of book (read it for a different group) and I kept putting it down because it annoyed me. This next week I'm hoping to get a lot done and add a bunch more books to the minichallenge :)

My best reading day was Friday because I could actually take a break from work which was consuming all of my time the rest of the week. I should be able to read a lot more in July though :)

Zakiya LadyWings (zladywings) Books Finished:
Hush, Hush (Hush, Hush, #1) by Becca Fitzpatrick 36 pages

Books Started & Finished:
Crescendo (Hush, Hush, #2) by Becca Fitzpatrick 427 pages
Wintergirls by Laurie Halse Anderson 278 pages
When the Black Girl Sings by Bil Wright 266 pages

Books Started:
Silence (Hush, Hush, #3) by Becca Fitzpatrick 347 pages

Total Books Finished: 4
Total Pages Read: 1354

Reached both of my goals (4 books, 1000 pages), so I'd say I read enough. But still, I was hoping to finish one or two more books; but I won't complain :). Not sure I had a best reading day, really. Probably Saturday, because I finished Hush Hush & Crescendo.

Nancy H | 561 comments A really bad thunderstorm knocked out my internet service on Saturday, so I couldn't report my progress until now! I didn't get quite as much read as I had hoped, because my daughter moved into a new apartment and my mother needed my help with a yard sale. Considering everything happening this week, I am satisfied with my progress.

Progress:

Finished: Rory - 120p. (to finish)
Trail of the Spellmans - 63-373 - 310p.on Monday; 373p. during RAT
Aunt Dimity and the Family Tree - p.77-229 = 142p. 229p. during RAT
Summer House - 351p.
Murder Most Confederate;Celtic;Merry - 204p. during RAT (960 total pages)

In progress: Kathy Little Bird - 150p.
(Also started and pages reported earlier in the week: Immortal in Death)

Saturday morning: 354p.
Friday: 31p.
Thursday: 173p.
Wednesday: 66p.
Tuesday: 142p.
Monday: 310p.
Sunday: 201p.
Saturday- 153p.

Best reading day was the final Saturday morning.
My goal of finishing seven books was not met, but I finished 5 so that was better than I thought.

Total RAT pages: 1,430p.
