My question is: When you write about teenagers drinking and having sex, do you ever get negative feedback that it is sending a bad message? I personally like to read a book that is real and not just trying to set a good example, but I wondered if maybe the reason why some authors have their characters drinking soda at parties is because of pressure from publishers or just internal reasons?
Great question--I thought I would get lots of negative feedback but I didn't. Maybe because I showed some consequences...I did debate how far to go, but I was trying to write a realistic story so I just went for it.

Thanks for answering... I loved the book, I thought everything about it was great! I hope you write more books like it :)

i like alcohol myself in limited quantity what do think about underage drinking? and what inspired to write this book?
I got the idea for this book from my real life -- I moved into my friend's basement when I was seventeen.

Thanks so much Lian! I have written a teen book series actually--it's called Magic in Manhattan and starts with Bras & Broomsticks!
