We will be reading and discussing Summer Days starting tuesday May 28th! We would love it if you would join in! To get the discussion started...
♥Will you be reading Summer Days and joing the discussion this month?
♥Have you read any of the previous Fool's Gold books? (each book reads as a stand alone so you can read Summer Days without having read any of the previous books!)
♥IF so, what is your favorite thing about Fool's Gold...the town and the characters.
♥Have you been looking forward to this book?

♥Will you be reading Summer Days and joing the discussion this month? Yes, I will be joining. I have read it. Love it a lot!!
♥Have you read any of the previous Fool's Gold books? (each book reads as a stand alone so you can read Summer Days without having read any of the previous books!) I read them all, but book #2.5 Sisters of the Bride. I need to get that one. I plan to soon.
♥IF so, what is your favorite thing about Fool's Gold...the town and the characters. My favorite thing about Fool's Gold is the town. I love how they help each other out. I think we could all use that. I have a disabled daughter, who is 12. She has been learning that she is different from others her age & has been acting out. I wonder what Mayor Marsha would tell me.
♥Have you been looking forward to this book? Yes. I love Heidi & her goats especially Athena. She cracks me up. How she can get out of every lock. Sounds like he has some Siberian Husky in her! Our huskies can open our screen doors! (I am not kidding you!)
Melissa, I agree about the town! It would be nice to have a community that supported the individuals and could learn on eachother! Somewhere there is a town out there like that...now if only it was filled with all the hotties that Fool's Gold is I would be there in a heart beat! (good thing the boyfriend doesn't read this! lol)

♥IF so, what is your favorite thing about Fool's Gold...the town and the characters. I love that Susan posts stories about the characters between the books. You grow to care for the characters of the town so much that it's nice to be able to read about them even when there isn't a book out. :D
♥Have you been looking forward to this book? Of course!! :D
So who has read
?
For those who have...
•Who was your favorite character?
•Funniest part of the book?
•Do you think that Heidi was letting her grandfather off the the hook a bit to easy, or do you think he was justified?
•What do you think about Rafe and his relationship with his siblings?

•Funniest part of the book? When May got an elephant. Why an elephant?
•Do you think that Heidi was letting her grandfather off the the hook a bit to easy, or do you think he was justified? I think it was because of him taking her in when she was younger. He was her only family each other had. She had no one else, but him. What would had happened if her grandfather said no?
•What do you think about Rafe and his relationship with his siblings? I think Rafe's relationships with his siblings is complicated. Rafe thinks if his siblings are not making money, then they are wasting their life. I think that with Heidi in his life this will change & we saw that in Summer Days how he went to his sister & asked her to give him.
Melissa, I think the hardest time I had with the book was Heidi and her Grandfather...I totally agree about him taking her in, and it was obvious he loved her. He also had noble reasons for doing what he did...however he was playing a dangerous game with something that Heidi truly loved, and then when he was so cavalier about dating the one person that essentially held their fate in their hands...I don't know. I know it ended well, it just rubbed me wrong how he acted about it I guess!
