Thanks, Dawn! I will start this week. :)

Jeannette, you aiming for the 1st then?

I just finished chapter 2 (part one)
(view spoiler)
I was just having a hard time picturing every single post having a spoiler alert in it. But if every single person can agree to post like that: finished __ chapter and then the spoiler then it could work out and that way we won't risk clogging up the group with a gazillion different posts about ATo2C.
Like I said, at least for me, it is annoying after a while to keep hiding stuff. Sometimes I just put
**************SPOILER ALERT****************
in my post.
It will all work out; these things always seem to. I only caught one "accidental" spoiler in the entire 1200 pages of CoMC!

That's a good idea to list the chapter at the beginning of a new post. That way whoever isn't in to that point can avoid the post.
I'm really looking forward to this read, and the discussion.

Margaret, as Jeannette said these tend to work themselves out, so no need to wait until you have finished a section before commenting. I pretty much make comments every day and of course PM's come in handy for those parts you want to get into more without having to worry about giving away spoilers.
I would like to add that this general thread tends to (and should be) abandoned once people start reading the book. It would get a bit confusing to actually discuss the book here, rather than/as well as in the other threads, too. (I hope that makes sense....)

I guess you can post those threads now, Dawn! :D
I like long books with short chapters. It gives me a quick sense of accomplishment.

Ditto to what Jeannette said about basically using this thread to before and after the read, or just to check in on non-specific section or book matters.
Going to get, at least, the Book the First section up. I've had a very strange day dealing with a unusual present one of my cats brought into the house, all the way to the bedroom, thank you very much! Will explain tomorrow.

I have also included the links in the first post at the beginning of this thread.

Great! The discussion is already going along with some interesting insights over in the Book the First thread http://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/9... See you there!
Please make sure when posting on this main thread to specify which book section you are in when you mention a chapter to avoid confusion. Remember page numbers are not the same for everyone.
To accommodate the speed of all readers, we plan to break it up into the three sections as set out in the book.

Book the Second - the Golden Thread chapter 1 - 24

Please let us know if your edition has a different breakdown.
Spoilers are allowed within these sections, still be mindful of where others are and keep the discussion within that section.
