Beyond Reality discussion

Hi everyone!

It’s a brand new month, so we have two brand new books to discuss. For June, thanks to your nominations and votes, our Books of the Month are:

June Science Fiction: To Say Nothing of the Dog by Connie Willis
June Fantasy: Throne of the Crescent Moon by Saladin Ahmed

I've set up a few starter topics for each book, but please feel free to start more. These discussions are always a lot more fun if someone who has read the book can post a few questions to get things started, so if anyone wishes to volunteer to lead the discussion for either of these books, please let Candiss or me know ASAP! It's not hard or time-consuming, and we're here to help!

In our series discussion, we're slowly but surely working our way towards the end of our ongoing discussion of The Honor Harrington series by David Weber. We are currently in the middle of book 10, War of Honor, and will begin book 11, At All Costs, on June 15th. Topics for all previous books in the series are still open for discussion, so it's never too late to get involved if you are so inclined.

In short story discussion news, Candiss just launched our next mini-project: the 2012 Hugo nominated stories! There are only two stories that weren't already on the Nebula ballot, but the topics for the other ones are still up from the Nebula discussion. There is a brief introductory post in the Short Story Discussions folder. Check it out and please come join us!
