Wendy Levitt Hi All: I'm so excited to find this group. I'm a career woman turned SAHM who has always been an avid reader. Leaving the workforce threw me into a huge identity crisis. Of course, I turned to books to prove to myself I wasn't alone in this very stressful time. What I found was a lot of books about women who happened to work and have a family, but nothing that explained WHY it is so hard and WHAT so many of us go through. I started writing AT THE CORNER OF WALL AND SESAME more as a form of self-therapy than anything else. But after I finished it, I realized that not only had I explained the issues with work/life balance to myself, but I had a chance to help other women who are going through the same thing. I'd be honored if you'd look at the free samples that are up on amazon and smashwords, and look forward to trading ideas with you on other works as well.

Best,
Wendy

from mommybookpicks.blogspot.com: I am just going to say it .... I loved reading this book! I laughed and I stressed out with the main character V throughout the book. I felt her roller coaster of emotions as she tried to be a perfect high power exec and a perfect new Mom and just do it all! I too once thought that I could do everything and sometimes still do ... and the author has managed to show that it is okay not to be perfect in every aspect at all times. Because the reality is that something has got to give and that does not mean you are a failure, its just life! I was entertained and empowered as a woman, at the same time. Especially as being a SAHM doesn't always get the credit it deserves! I recommend this to all Mom's and to all who know a great Mom!
