Worlds Without End question

When I wrote "The Mission," an actress always stood out in my mind as portraying Celeste Chast. The actress that I always had pictured in my mind's eye was Kate Beckingsale. There are several reasons for this. First, Kate Beckingsale is one of the most beautiful actresses in Hollywood. Her dark hair and blue eyes are exactly what I pictured when I developed her character. Second, her ability to play a strong woman, with the ability to defy the odds, from her roles in the "Underworld" movies matches what is needed for Celeste. Third, her British accent is perfect for the role of a woman descended from a super-race of humans from another planet. Perfect. All in all, when I write, I picture my characters from my favorite movie actors and actresses. After all, it is like I am watching a movie unfold in my imagination as I write, so why not use the best from Hollywood to portray my characters.
