Impact - The First Book in the Mashed Banana Soup

Haha, that's a great question. I've had a few people ask me if it was some crazy cook book I'd conjured up because of that...
Anyway, while I was writing and editing Impact I had no idea what the title was going to be. In fact, I only came up with the title a few weeks before it come out. In the meantime I hated calling it "my book" or simply "NaNoWriMo doc" which it was saved as on my computer, I wanted to give it a name.
So during NaNoWriMo I was also following Maureen Johnson's blog, as she was giving daily advice to NaNo participants. One day she covered the topic of "Title Trouble" and she had a lot to say about it but what stood out most to me was the following: "For NaNoWriMo, it seems perfectly acceptable to have no title at all by the end of the month! Give it a working title, or a ridiculous title, if that helps you get on with it." So, I gave it a ridiculous working title until I came up with a better one.
I know I got the "mashed" part from the fact that the character's lives were all being mashed together, but the "banana soup" is a mystery even to me. I was going to drop the working title entirely once I came up with the official one, but I had friends tell me I had to include it somehow. So I decided to make it the series title instead. :D
