Markus This isn't really about a crime movie but something that comes were close and might interest all crime lovers:

Tex Murphy, the star of a 90s adventure game series, tries to make his comeback on Kickstarter. The games took place in a futuristic San Francisco in the 2040s after WWIII. You play as Tex Murphy, a down and out private investigator, and an avid fan of the classic film noir films of Humphrey Bogart. As such, he does his work in the style of archetypal film noir detectives such as Sam Spade and Philip Marlowe. So the games are basically a mixture of sci-fi and film noir, topped with a lot ouf great humour and some corny love stories. All of them featured an intriguing and thrilling crime story as well as deep characters.

The Tex Murphy series contained three Full Motion Video games (Under a Killing Moon, The Pandora Directive, Overseer). FMV means that characters of the game were played by real actors and put into the 3D enviroment. You can see how this works by watching the pitch video on the Kickstarter page.
Especially the second game, The Pandora Directive, is considered a classic because of its rich story and muliple paths, which changed the story based on how you behaved (good, so-so, bad).

Tex and Marylin

Maybe you have played one of the games in the 90s and would love to have a new game; or maybe you are just interested in a game that truly represents how a crime story should be incorporated into a videogame. (Here is a little guide for people who are new to the Tex Murphy games.)
Howsoever, do yourself the favour and look at the Kickstarter page and watch the videos. And if you like what you see you may consider to pledge - you will get a full game for only 15 $.
Only 48 hours left to pledge, so I hope you catch it in time.

Two of the games were also published as books by author Aaron Conners:
Under a Killing Moon: A Tex Murphy Novel
Pandora Directive
