There is going to be a new Sherlock Holmes game coming out in September called The Testament of Sherlock Holmes, created by Focus Home Interactive and Frogwares. I have played a couple of games by Frogwares (Mystery of the Mummy and Sherlock Holmes versus Jack the Ripper), and I enjoyed them. Of course, I usually like adventure games anyway. I have seen them in game stores and at target in a combo pack of 5 sherlock games for $20, but if you don't mind not having the Ripper one you can get it here for under $8.

This new one looks like it has vastly improved graphics over the older ones. Also, it is made specifically for console playing with an open world environment. Frogwares have been making these since 2002, and I hope this game does well.

Hmm thanx for informing us that a new Sherlock game is coming.....I am a hardcore pc gamer myself...hvng played everything from call of dutys to GTAs.....but the only thing which kept me away from the previous Sherlock Holmes games was their mediocre graphics.....but looking at the images from this new one, this one looks way better. And it's releasing on sept 25th.

Yeah, I played the previous games and the graphics were mediocre. It definitely looks like they have improved it with this one.

Yes, thank you. I've also played Mystery of the Mummy and have enjoyed other Frogwares titles. Glad to see they're putting out a new game!

The game has released now a few days back. I m damn sure i m gonna buy it soon...anyone else interested in this game?

I thought the story was mostly well done. (There are a couple things I wish were better explained). There's one thing I think they did much better than the BBC show (which I love) but I can't say what it is without spoiling the game.

The actual puzzles were sort of annoying. I've played enough RPGs that I expect better mechanics for picking locks and most of the puzzles seemed to be there for the sake of having puzzles. There was one exception, where you had to recreate the movements of a person and find out what didn't fit.

I think it was better than the Jack the Ripper game.

I will warn that there's a massive break with canon.

But if you like video games and you like Holmes I'd recommend it.

I just finished this game about a week ago. Not perfect, but an improvement on the previous games in the series. Honestly though, I felt that this was more of a puzzle game than an adventure game, and the puzzles were often frustrating (not in the good way). I frequently thought, "Uh... so what is this game asking me to do now?" But despite this most of the time it's entertaining.

It does get pretty graphic and disturbing sometimes.

Yeah, I ended up looking for solutions online far more often with this game than in previous Holmes games. Most of the puzzles were annoying.

Hey Guys, i had started playing testament of.... game but it didn't impress me at all. But now there is a new game 'Sherlock Holmes crimes and punishments'. I have started the game, already solved 2 cases and the game is really awesome!The graphics are also much better. I recommend all gamers over here to try this game.

My daughter just got that game. We have not played it yet, but glad to hear you think it's a good one!
