Anino (anino) Ok, so I'm looking for something good to read, but thus far, I've only been able to get into books written by Savannah Frierson, Latrivia Nelson, & Sienna Mynx.. Can anyone think of any IRR writers that are in the same arena as those 3 writers? If you can, you'll make my ereader oh so happy..

Hi Anino. I haven't read any Sienna Mynx, so I can't comment. I love the other two authors. Their books standout as far as IRR, so I'd have to think about what to recommend.

Have you read any JJ Murray? He is a white man (married to a black woman) who writes IRR. I think they are very good. Something Real is still one of the most distinctive IRRs I have had the pleasure to read.

I also love A Personal Matter. Ice is something else.

Fashionista (fashionista99) | 439 comments Latrivia Nelson, Sienna Mynx, and Savannah J. Frierson are my favorite authors too. Try Pepper Pace. Her IRRs are really good - filled with beautifully flawed characters. Stranded by Pepper Pace Crash by Pepper Pace Juicy by Pepper Pace
Wheels of Steel, Book 1 by Pepper Pace

Fashionista, how are Pepper Pace's book on the steam level? I personally don't like erotic books (no offense to anyone). Steamy is fine as long as it's not kinky.

message 6: by Shelby P (new)

Shelby P (shelbyp) I love Lena Matthews. The books below are very good!
The Blacker the Berry
He's So Shy
Happily Even After
The Sweetest Taboo

Nadine (peanutsmom) | 81 comments Dorothy Koomson is one of the strongest writers in this genre imo and one of my favorites along with those you choose. Warning her books are complicated and doesn't always end in HEA.

@ Lady Danielle - They are very steamy but not kinky (no BDSM or weirdness) to me in any way.

Robin (robin-alisha) | 209 comments I heard Dorothy Koomson was good. I like Billy London a lot, but I don't know close she is to the other authors you mentioned. Also I heard Pepper Pace was good. So is Madame Z from what I hear too; I heard a lot of compliments about Wanderland.

I have a very vague memory but I think Pepper Pace writes erotic. I'm not sure though. I know Billy London does as does Sienna Mynx; I can't speak for Latrivia S. Nelson though or Savannah Frierson.

I'm very fond of Pepper Pace, Thayer King, and Zena Wynn...they're the only author's in this genre, that I've read thus far, where I have liked all of their books.

Something Real by J.J. Murray sounds like a great read! I went to Antioch once or twice while I was living in Virginia, so I'll definitely be reading this one.

SheReadsALot | 965 comments Try Naima Simone or Eve Vaughn. Shara Azod is similar to Latrivia Nelson to me. I also love Billy London but I agree her writing is not similar to the authors you're looking for.

Laurel Cremant (laurelcremant) | 30 comments I've become a huge fan of Asha King ever since I read Wild Horses. She blends just the right amount of humor, steam and romance. I wouldn't label this particular book as erotic. It felt more like a Harlequin Presents category romance. I really enjoy her writing.

Paganalexandria | 4065 comments If you like Sienna try Aliyah Burke she is my other go to.

message 23: by Robin (new)

Robin (robin-alisha) | 209 comments Thanks for the recs, guys. :) Much appreciated.

I kind of only really read Violette Dubrinsky, Billy London, and Sienna Mynx, and a maybe a few others that offered free reads here and there. But no one who really, really stood out except for those three. To me anyway. So, thanks for that, I found some other authors to look at. Are there any others are just "must read" authors? They can be both Erotica/Erotic Romance or non-Erotica/Erotic Romance.

message 24: by Ladyamelia (new)

Ladyamelia | 173 comments I really enjoy Maureen Smith's writing. Romancing the M.D. (Hopewell General) by Maureen Smith is the only IR she has out to my knowledge.

message 25: by Jmelfi (new)

Jmelfi | 114 comments "The Color of Love", "Between Friends", "Close Encounters" by Sandra Kitt, "A Personal Matter" by Karyn Langhorne, "Allegro" by Adora Bennett, "Back To Life" by Wendy Coakley-Thompson, "Crossing The Line" by Bernice Layton, "Waiting For Mr. Darcy", "I Take This Woman" by Chamein Canton, "Rock Star" by Roslyn Hardy Holcomb, "Mr. Right Now" by Monica Jackson, and "Chancing Faith" by Empi Baryeh are some of my favorite books. Other IR authors include: Pamela Leigh Starr, Crystal Hubbard, Dar Tomlinson, Kei Swanson, Angela Weaver, Ruthie Robinson, Kimberly Kaye Terry, Tammy Williams, Nicole Green, Deatri King-Bey, Aliyah Burke, Eve Vaughn, Sharon Cullars.

I haven't read a book of Koomson's yet, which have had a HEA in my definition of what that is supposed to be, but her writing is so good that I keep reading her books anyway. Her books have that "I just wish" factor. :)
